I'm working on a little project at the moment (Or rather a small part of a much larger project) and I cant seem to find anything like what I am lookig for.
I want to have some stats for a Gut Truck (Those trucks that drive from pace to place selling sandwitches/chilli dogs/etc to workers during their lunch breaks.) Does anyone have any ideas for what ground vehicles in the Star Wars universe would work well for this? |

There was a very, very old thread from Ray that had a vast variety of custom made Star Wars vehicles. Let me see if I can find it.
Aha here it is. _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

Thanks! There is some really neat stuff in that thread, thanks for digging it up!
There are a couple of things that are similar to what I want do use. If I cant stumble across anything closer, then I'll probably modify one of them for what I want.
CSA Mealmaster
Pretty much the standard Chuckwagon in Imperial Space, and have kept up that title in the New Republic on sheer reliability and design. On it's own, the Mealmaster can produce enough hot meals for almost on hundred people once, and, with adequate support (Like a Trip full of raw food materials), can produce enough meals for 300 people three times a day. These vechicles can be found all over the place, at factories, constuction sites, and there is even an Armoured Military Model for Military and Police forces only.
Craft: Coporate Sector Authority Mealmaster Mk. IV Chuckwagon
Type: Landspeeder
Scale: Speeder
Length: 7.5 Metres
Skill: Repulsorlift Operations: Landspeeder
Crew: 1 Driver, 2 Cooks, 1 Server
Crew Skill: Varies (3D to 4D Repulsorlift Operations, 3D to 4D Culinary Arts)
Passengers: 0
Cargo Capacity: 1 Metric Tons (Refridgerated)
Cover: Full (Except for one side that can flip up, it is 1/2)
Altitude Range: Ground (Civilian Model); Ground - 10 Metres (Military Model)
Cost: Civilian: 12,000 (New); 4,500 (Used)
Military: 23,000 (New); 6,000 (Used)
Maneuverability: 0D
Move: 140; 400 km/h
Body Strength: 2D (Civilian Model); 3D+1 (Military Model)
Hot Chub "Chubmobile":
It's a giant sausage on a bun with Repulsorlifts on the underneath, and works as a Hot Chub stand. What more description do you need???
Craft: Hot Chub Industries "Chumbmobile"
Type: Landspeeder
Scale: Speeder
Length: 10 Metres
Skill: Repulsorlift Operations: Landspeeder
Crew: 1 Driver, 1 Cook, 1 Server
Crew Skill: Varies (3D to 4D Repulsorlift Operations, 2D Culinary Arts)
Passengers: 0
Cargo Capacity: 1 Metric Tons (Refridgerated, 10,000 Hot Chubs and Buns, with Condiments)
Cover: Full (Except for one side that can flip up, it is 1/2)
Altitude Range: Ground
Cost: 15,000 (New, for Sale Only to Licenced Hot Chub Dealers, like anyone else would want
one!)
Maneuverability: 0D
Move: 115; 330 km/h
Body Strength: 2D |

The project that this will be included in will have a list of foods & prices, along with their effects, . . . but I expect that this gut truck (run by a Hutt) might justify one or two "specials." |

That will be featured in the upcoming Complete Book of Poisons and Infectious Diseases. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Nope, its going to show up in the Cantina Guide (Formerly the Beverages Guide.) The Poisons, Diseases, and Medical guide is still out on the horizon.
On the other hand, treatment options may have to appear in that guide, . . . |

Ok, I ended up building a custom vehicle for what I wanted. Since I dont have a lot of experience making stats for vehicles, so I would love to get everyone's oppinion on the following vehcle. All thoughts, comments and constructive criticism is welcome!
Craft: Grogg’s Gut Truck
Type: Ground Vehicle
Scale: Speeder
Length: 13.5 Meters
Skill: Ground Vehicle Operation
Crew: 1 Driver, 1 Cook, 1 Server
Passengers: 0
Cargo Capacity: 1.25 Metric Tons (Refrigerated)
Cover: Full (Except for one side that can flip up, it is 1/2)
Altitude Range: Ground
Cost: Unique vehicle, not for sale.
Maneuverability: 0D
Move: 85; 245 km/h
Body Strength: 2D
Special Rules:
Junk: Grogg’s Gut Truck is in very poor repair. At the beginning of each day, roll 1D. On a 1-3, the truck runs fine. On a 4-5, a major piece of equipment in the kitchen is on the fritz all day. On a 6, the truck breaks down for a large part of the day. |

Seems pretty good. I'd reverse the D6 results so a six was good and a one was bad to fit with the standard wild dice system but otherwise I'd keep it as is.
Actually I might make the rule something like this:
Junk: Grogg’s Gut Truck is in very poor repair. At the beginning of each day, roll 1D. On a 4-6, the truck runs fine. On a 3, a minor piece of equipment in the kitchen is on the fritz all day. The server or cook must make a perception check to notice this otherwise all meals served require a normal stamina test to eat without coming down with food poisoning. On a 2, a major piece of equipment in the kitchen is on the fritz all day. On a 1, the truck breaks down for a large part of the day. _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

Thanks for the feedback.
You have a good point about the dice results. I'll likely change that. On the other hand, the food poisoning dosnt really fit with the theme I'm trying to set for the establishment so I'll be passing on that part of the idea.
If you are interested, I've posted the first draft of the establishment in this thread: http://www.rancorpit.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4003 |

Seriously, though, I think it should be a wheeled or tracked vehicle, not a repulsorlift. It would add to the... uncertainty that these vehicles tend to inspire. _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier

Thats why I ended up going with "Ground Vechicle" instead of a "Repulsorlift: Landspeeder."
The Sandcrawler is a really funny idea, I may have to roll the idea around in my head a little bit, . . . |
