Im looking into changing the dice system from counting the total added result to counting number of successes. I can still use normal d6:s but it would be more fun to use dice with different symbols to represent the differnt results.
What I need is dice that has 4 different symbols as stated below.
1: Critical failure. (skull)
2-3: Failure (blank)
4-5: Success (Sword)
6: Critical success. (crossed swords, sword and skull or sword and shield)
I have a vague memory of coming across a gaming system which uses a similar dice system, but cannot really be sure. In the table above the words in brackets are the symbol I think was on the dice.
Anyone know what Im talking about or know a good place to order custom dice (or another smart solution) _________________ My Biggest Beard Retard award goes to: The Admiral of course.. |

Yeah, seems like the kids had a game with mini's that used a dice system similar to that. Can't remember the name. _________________ Blasted rules. Why can't they just be perfect? |

I Googled custom printed dice and got some hits. The first one was wanting minimum orders of 200, and the second one offers blank dice with concave surfaces in which you can put your own stickers. Some possibilities there...
EDIT: Actually, this one may suit your needs even better, so long as you are willing to buy a couple dozen of them. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Looked into a few custom dice companies. The price seems to be around 4$ and up (as I only need 4 sides printed). At 25 dice that becomes a bit steep for me.
I looked into the forum thread in the post above, and that guy has about 5 variations for HeroQuest dice. Problem is that they only have three different symbols, not for (counting the blank face). Ill see if I can alter the mechanics to suit the dice... _________________ My Biggest Beard Retard award goes to: The Admiral of course.. |
