A must-have for any cold environment system to ensure a quick-start up, this system is easily modifiable to Starfighters and has been around for Freighters from time immemorial:
Speeder Engine Block Heater: Designed to prevent the lubricants in a repulsorlift and power generator from freezing in sub-sub zero temperature, the block heater can be plugged into any power droid or droid recharge system (Universal adapter extra) to ensure that the speeder will start the first time, no matter how cold the conditions get.
Cost: 50 Credits
Notes: Two of these can be modified (Starfighter Repair test of 10) to heat a Starfighter's power generator and repulsorlifts (The ion engines can heat up on the way out of atmosphere), but requires a Walker-Grade power droid or equivalent to keep operational.
Freighter Engine Block Heater: While the long start-up systems of a freighter allow the natural heating of the fluids in a system, some Freighters are unable to have their lubricants fall into sub-sub zero temperature in an atmosphere without breaking down. This system is so common on ships that few are seen without one. Most operate off of an internal generator operating at low power, but they can have a power umbilical connect to the docking bay as part of the docking fee and draw power from the city to keep it operational at no additional wear and tear on internal components.
Cost: 250 Credits
Weight: Negligable |

Spinning Chrome Skids: A decorative attachment to your starship's landing skids. Consisting of a high gloss fan section/flywheel and a fine ball bearing, these flashy status symbols will begin to rotate in the wind as you make your final approach, and continue to spin as you bring your craft in for a landing
Cost: 25 credits per skid _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier

Cost: 25 credits per skid | My Hutt Starfighter Pilot had these. There were two on the wings that kept spinning even in space as well. |
