Hey guys
I'm using some Christmas money to build out my d6 star wars collection and I've got a a few questions about various versions of the sourcebooks.
1. Are there any differences between the movie trilogy sourcebook and the trilogy sourcebook special edition? I know there are likely new characters from the se, but are there any other significant differences between these editions? Also I assume that the trilogy sourcebooks cover everything from galaxy guides 1, 3, and 5. Is there any reason, if I have the trilogy sourcebook se, that I would want the movie trilogy sourcebook, or GGs 1, 3, or 5?
2. What about the differences between 1st and 2nd editions of galaxy guides 1 - 6. I see the first eds are all 80 pages and the second eds are all 96 pages. Any differences or just formatting? |

Trilogy Sourcebook vs Trilogy Sourcebook Special Edition. While I own both books, I like the SE book much better, its got more content and is full color.
Galaxy Guide 1, 3, 5. While much of their content does appear in the Trilogy books, there is some unique content, including a small adventure in each.
GG 1-6. If you are running 2nd ed or 2nd R&R, I'd suggest going with the second edition books. You will save yourself a little time by not having to convert the stats between editions.

GG6 (Tramp Freighters) is worth picking up in the first edition because the starship modifications chapter has some additional options listed for upgrades that don't appear in the 2E book.

Give me an IM if you need any books. I'm moving and have to sale off my entire collection 
I agree about getting the Galaxy Guides. They have more info than the Trilogy sourcebooks. And also go for the 2nd edition books. There are changes. One is that 2nd edition vehicles and starships have sensors codes. Other books to consider:
Imperial Sourcebook (opposition forces' stats)
Rebel Alliance Sourcebook (rebel starships)
Star Wars Sourcebook (basic stats and equipment lists)
Heroes & Rogues (cool templates)
Platt's Starport Guide (examples of starports)
The Planets Collection (lots of planets and adventure ideas)
Wretched Hive of Scum and Villiany (examples of bars) |
