The Star Wars D6 community is planning a May the Fourth Be With You D6 Weekend for this spring. We are looking for GameMasters to fill out our slots. Below is the proposed schedule:
Format: three hour time-slots with one hour breaks in-between. Times are set for CST (GMT-6). Played using Roll20 and G+ hangouts. We would love to record the events but that will depend on the comfort of the GM and peoples understanding of hangouts.
Friday, May 1st
6PM-9PM (1800-2100) Open.
10PM-1AM (2200-0100) GM already filled.
Saturday, May 2nd
10AM-1PM (1000-1300) Open.
2PM-5PM (1400-1700) Open.
6PM-9PM (1800-2100) Open.
10PM-1AM (2200-0100) Open.
Sunday, May 3rd
10AM-1PM (1000-1300) Open.
2PM-5PM (1400-1700) Open.
An idea we are toying with suggesting a donation from players ($2, $5, $10 and $25). The money would be used to do two things: 1. give a small monetary gift to GMs for their time; and 2. put some funds together so Womp Rat Press for special projects.
What are your guy's thoughts on this? I know the event is a solid idea, I am hesitant about asking for donations. I hate that. _________________ Don Diestler

Hmmmm, a chance to play that doesn't require you to leave your computer chair? A set event with five months to plan. No suggestions? No, "that sounds cool" or "wow I would love to play but I can't <insert excuse here>"? No interest at all eh? _________________ Don Diestler

Sounds cool, but how does the G+ hangout work?
And you're right, I'm always intrigued if I don't have to leave my chair. _________________ Blasted rules. Why can't they just be perfect? |

It's pretty simple, you get invited to the hangout, and the Roll20 application loads right into the call. Only the GM has to have a Roll20 account to load it. The hangout uses voice communication, and the GM can manipulate a map, handouts, etc...
I would, but my wife will be back in school, and I know that I won't be able to. _________________ RR
