When I first started running games I used a lot of floor plates to use as locations, but I always found that they lacked texture. After a while I started using pictures of interiors to show what the location looked like, not just what the lay out was. Have any of the other GMs out there used the same kinds of visual adds or gone with only narritive descriptions. And what has had the biggest impact on your players. |

I only rarely use pictures of rooms, tending to rather draw out their size on a vinyl map and then give verbal descriptions of the interior. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

I use a lot of illustrations to supplement descriptions, I have a big folder for every RPG I run. Not individual rooms, usually, but places, people and props. When the PCs visit a major location, I like to have several photos and pictures ready to help convey what's it like there. _________________ Plagiarize! Let no one else's work evade your eyes,
