Mechu-deru and technometry

I was looking through The Jedi Path, noting how a number of the Force powers have been given fancy names, like consitor sato for plant surge. The book said that some Jedi have developed the skill mechu-deru, which allowed them to intricately reprogram droids. In the Clone Wars Campaign Guide, it said that technometry gave the user a bonus in programming droids and computers. So would it be wrong to say that mechu-deru and technometry are the one and the same like consitor sato and plant surge are? Or is technometry a part of the mechu-deru family, like ayna-seff is a part of the hassat-durr family of Baran Do powers?
