does anybody know the names of any retired imperial admirals during the period between battle for endor and the events of dark empire?

You have plenty to choos from... All are RIP! I doubt that ANY imperial admiral during that time frame was allowed to retire.

One GA was allowed, don't remember the name now, but he is listed on Wookiepedia.

Not an Admiral that springs to mind, but there was a Commander in the Truce at Bukura novel, I think
