Thinking about something i said in the below thread on dual wielding..
How do you all rule for disarming someone else? Is it different in melee/brawl as it is in ranged combat? _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

I up the difficulty for the attack but if it is successful the opponant is disarmed. Kinda like a called shot to the weapon but not quite as difficult. _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

Disarming efficiency is often exaggerated in most RPG:s, especially if it does not involve actually grabbing the wielding arm.
It hasnt cropped up for a while, but I think I treated it like trying to beat a 'full defence', ie you had to beat your opponents defence roll plus the basic difficulty of the weapon. _________________ My Biggest Beard Retard award goes to: The Admiral of course.. |

If it is successful, do you have a specific ruling for whether the target might still retain his weapon (str or dex check) or is it gone? What about the distance/direction it goes? _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
