In many novels and other sources we see that TDs (and other grenades) are keyed to emit lights/sounds as a 'warning of their impending explosion. Can this function get turned off? Say by a baddie not wanting to alert his prey it is getting ready to go boom! _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

I'm sure it should be possible to be do with a high enough technical skill but working with a thermal detonator has got to be risky _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

One game had a pc wondering this, so he could 'sneak up, and use Pick pockets to place it on a baddie, to get their entire group of baddies.. Other times i have wanted NPCs to use this.
IF i were to come up with a rule, i would say a demo roll of Diff (18-20) to turn it off, and rolling less than a 5 sets it off in your hands. Using Base tech, increases it to 23-25 (very diff), and rolling less than a 10 sets it off. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Planted in a backpack or something, right? Cause I'm sure I would notice something that large in a pocket.

Na. Use it as a sopository!
But usually when i have thought of baddies doing this, they would place it on the persons belt near/next to other grenades (or just activate THEIRS!!)
