Ok, Im gonna check if you guys have some interesting environment ideas for SW planets.. (We all know SW planets are the same all over).

We have
-Ice Planets (Hoth)
-Jungle/Forest planets
-Desert Planets
-City planets
-Volcano/lava planets

Ok, the idea is not to list all different 'uniform planet types' but instead to see what new interesting ideas for environments you guys are using. Dont limit yourself to environments, any cool ideas where scenarios might take place are welcome.

This is the city of Kaantur, from a Doug Chiang project. I used it for my campaign finale and it was AWESOME:




I placed this city in Manaan, a water planet similar to Mon Calamari, home of the Selkath. I made the lower part of the city be a powerplant, and we had a lightsaber duel in crisscrossing catwalks above the watery chasm.

Loved Gry Sarth’s picture and idea. It reminded me of a planet I created in the sector adjacent to Elrood Sector in my campaign.

Capsule:
The Floating Cities and Silver Seas of Aereallia are a famous tourist spot. The seas are liquid mercury. Breath masks are required outside the city domes due to mercury vapor poisoning. The plains areas have several real water lakes (artificially created by ice comet bombardment) that have agricultural stations by them. The stations are in the process of growing peat grass and algae to produce extra oxygen, and cheap foodstuffs (algae paste).

The Floating cities are domed and hollowed out chunks of solid asteroids. They are inverse cones in shape with domes and towers on top, flitter landing platforms along the sides, and giant repulsorlift engines at the bottom. The cities float over land and seas at an altitude that reduces the gravity to a normal standard G. The domes hold air and oxygen extractors pull oxygen out of the nitrogen and carbon dioxide atmosphere while leaving the deadly mercury vapor behind. The domes also have algae tanks to generate more oxygen and algae paste. Most locals are stuck with algae paste products, but visitors are fed imported (and expensive) delicacies.

Government is feudal, each Floating city is ruled by a Domarch. Below the Domarch are hereditary administrators known as Burarchs. The Burarchs handle most of the administration. The Domarchs meet annually at the Skydome for council meetings. The council, known as the Doma, used to make all planetary decisions. Now Skydome is also home to an Imperial Governor who can overule the Doma.

Skydome is the orbital Stellar-class starport that serves Aereallia. It directs all system traffic. Each of the domes has landing field facilities for small ships, but large ships must dock at Skydome. Aereallia charges a high fee for direct landing clearance. It is often cheaper to dock a ship at skydome and shuttle down to a dome.

Surprised You lost me garhkal. Mercury is corrosive, but I don't think it is flammable and a Nitrogen/CO2 atmosphere should be pretty non-flammable. The oxygen levels inside the domes are no higher than on a typical planet, station, or ship. Why would fire or smoking be a particular concern?

Ahh. Thanks for explaining. No penalties. It would be bad for the tourist industry. Those high rollers like to smoke their Koobanakan Cigars. Laughing
