Have the stats for these ships been ever officially published anywhere? I looked through my own books and Wookiepedia, and apparently the only official mention of them is in the Imperial Sourcebook.

If not, maybe we should make a group effort to make such.

Doesn't sound like it'd be that hard to come up with basic stats for it. It's primarily a troop transport, so there'd be a bunch of bunk setups. Figure 8 to 10 people to a room in a 15 x 15 bunk setup (maybe 20 x 20). Using the troops that are being transported, some of them can be used to man various weapon turrets, so crew would actually be very minimal. Even with weapons though, there probably wouldn't be that many as the ships often traveled in pairs so there'd be 2 transports at a time and 2 Strike Cruisers to protect them.

Figure something like a space move of 6, x1 Hyperdrive Modifier, crew of 10, passengers from 100 to 10,000 depending on whether you wanted it to be a small or a big ship. A 3D Hull and 4D Shields I could see (potentially a little more hull as they use those ships for transporting technicians too).

As for weapons, maybe 2 or 3 Turbolaser mounts. Nothing more than that I could see or justify.

Little correction to my prior post after reading up a bit more on it.

It'd most likely be a capital ship, crew 100 with passengers (troops) of 37,000 for transport. The ships were made to carry a full standard army corps of personnel (which for the Empire is 36,864).

In addition, the August has 24 TIE/In's to provide escort to the surface and 12 TIE Bombers to provide direct combat support. The August also has an impressive array of firepower with it's turbolaser emplacements and it's anti-starfighter system.

That homebrew looks otherwise fine, except the ship seems to be a bit on the small side for a full corps, considering that they are not just troop transports but are supposed to be able to easily disgorge a large number of troops fast.

Maybe I would double the length and remove some of the armament it carries, considering that they aren't combat vessels and are always escorted by at least two Strike Cruisers. Likewise with the TIE complement: too inefficient to give a ship like that half a wing of TIEs, considering that troop lines practically never operate by themselves.

I'm imagining that the ship could be shaped like an upsidedown U-shape, with a long hangar deck running through the length of the ship to give maximum room for dropships and shuttles to launch, since being able to land as much troops as possible at once would be one of the main reasons to use ships like these.
