DB industries is a newcomer into the space age market of blasters and other personal weaponry. Based out of the Crucible sector planet He’vafo IV, they have been around a solid 400 years, but only in the past 30 have they switched from firearm (and missile weapons) manufacture into the realm of Blasters and other energy weaponry. So far, they have only come up with 3 weapons of note. They are the DB-8X blaster rifle (more of a carbine), the DB-6p pistol, and the DB-3Y room sweeper.

The DB-8X blaster rifle
Personal signature weapon of the He’Vafo IV planetary swat and security forces.
This weapon appears to look like a bulky blaster carbine, though it comes under the rifle heading. It incorporates an internal sighting system that allows the user to zoom in his sights (or place a laser targeting spot) on the enemy granting him an easier chance of shooting the target. It also has several modes of operation.
Single shot (or semi) is as the name implies, shooting one bolt of energy a combat round. In this mode, the front mounted bipod (integrated onto the weapon) is usually extended and the internal targeting system is engaged. This allows the weapon user to shoot more accurately but at the loss of weapon fire capacity. When used, short range targets are at +1d+1 to hit. Medium range targets are at +2 to hit, while long range targets are at regular chances to hit. It also gains a little more range than normal.
Next up is speed shot. Each time the trigger is pulled, 3 blaster shots are fired in rapid succession, all at the same target. Though the damage of each individual shot is lessened, it grants 3 chances to cause damage per ‘action’. Damage drops to 4d vice the normal 4d+2 of the weapon, but you make 3 to hit rolls for one action. This can be used three times in a round.
Next up is standard fire, in which the weapon acts in all respects like a standard blaster rifle.
Range: Standard; 0-10/100/200
Single shot; 0-20/180/360
Speed shot; 0-4/50/150
Damage: 4d+2 for standard fire and single shot.
4d for Speed shot
Ammo: 75 shots per power pack
Skill: Blaster
Cost: 1150 credits, Availability: 3R (must have local planetary law enforcement license to purchase)

The DB-6P pistol
This blaster pistol actually looks like an old school sawn off shotgun in that it has 2 barrels. This allows for double shots when wanting more damage, or single shot as a regular pistol.
Range: 0-5/25/75
Damage: 4d. 4d+2 when doing double shot
ROF: 8 or 3 double
Ammo: 35 shots per power pack
Skill: Blaster
Cost: 600 credits, Availability 3R (must have local planetary Law Enforcement license to purchase)


The DB-3y Room Sweeper
This blaster carbine looking weapon is great for close-quarters battle. When fired, targets suffer penalties to dodge based on their range. This is due to the 6 barrels of the weapon firing bolts in a 5 degree cone. It not only forces opponents to suffer on their chances to dodge, but also causes more damage than the other 2 blasters above do.
Range: 5/15/30. -3d to dodge at short, -2d to dodge at medium, -1d to dodge at long.
Damage: 6d+1 at short, 5d+1 at medium, 4d+1 at long.
ROF: 2.
Ammo: 12 shots per power pack
Skill: Blaster
Cost: 900 credits, Availability 3R (must have local planetary Law Enforcement License to purchase).
