Any one know if the gamorreans have any type of high tech of their own? like cap ships or any thing.
Or are they just to stupid? |

I don't think they have galactic level industry, no. They're some what tribal societally, and don't tend to be interested in developing their own high tech, seeming satisfied to take what others create to meet their needs. Garmorr's major export is Gamorreans
They're not the most intelligent species, but I think their lack of galactic level industry has more to do with a general disinterest in technological advancement. They have what they need and are able to continue living the way they like to. _________________ Hotaru no Hishou; a messageboard about games, friends and nothing at all.

yeah that's what I figured too.
I'm trying to find a small cap ship that a band of pirating gamorreans might use . |

In wraith squadron Voort "Piggy" saBinring was a biomedically engineered gamorrean, and they state that he is the only gamorrean that is capable of piloting a vessle. They imply that he is alone in his own species as he is hte only one capable of complex thought processes.
From what I understand of Gamorreans is that they are simply used as muscle, and low quality guards. They would not be capable of captaining a pirate vessle. However you could have Gamorreans as the primary muscle for a band of pirates... _________________ The Vong have Arrived

Vong's right. "Piggy" was the only example I ever read of a Gamorrean that was capable of higher brain functions. And due to the experiments done on him, if I remember correctly he was capable of droid-level computations to boot. It's been a while since I read the X-wing books, but I did like them. I thought it was a good series.
I'd think they'd be pretty easy to hire, too. Just promise 'em all the vibroaxes they want and a carton of shiny pretties, and they'll be yours. |

funny you mention gamorreans. I always thought it would be cool to have a gamorrean merc fighting on the side of the republic during the clone wars. that would be the closest thing to gamorrean heaven i could think of.
maybe there is a group of these guys unemployed. maybe they have female gamorreans with them. the sows are descibed as being smarter than the males...
I think some kind of ugly mining ship with tractor beams and weird drills and rock crushers would be cool. it should be very spartan and simple, but robust and tough. like a gamorrean... _________________ D&D 5e DM and WEG Star Wars GM for two kids who will hopefully carry on with RPGs for years to come

the gamorreans could show up in a clone wars battle and turn the tide...
later you'd find out they were not mercenaries, but instead they were actually just on vacation... _________________ D&D 5e DM and WEG Star Wars GM for two kids who will hopefully carry on with RPGs for years to come
