Hi everyone.
I'm an old school West End Games player, but switched over to d20 when it came out and since then switched to SAGA.
I own every SAGA edition book up untill "Galaxy at War", but I slowly began to realize that SAGA just didn't feel like Star Wars.
It felt waaay to tactical and limited.
I really like stats, especially for iconic characters, and SAGA was absolutely terrible for that. No continuity between the sourcebooks because they were constantly making up new feats and talents for the whole leveling system (which I really don't care for).
So one day, or night rather, I went down to my basement and found by old D6 West End Games books
I didn't have many at the time -- The Second Edition Core Rulebook, The Revised and Expanded Rulebook, Shadows of the Empire Sourcebook, Galaxy Guide 3: The Empire Strikes Back, The Last Command Sourcebook and the Movie Trilogy Sourcebook.
It was like I found it again! The thing my campaigns needed to feel just like the movies and the EU book of Zahn and J. Anderson.
Now my players are happier than they've been in a long time. They constantly say it feels like their characters are constantly growing and it all feels so much more free.
I've since picked up pretty much every suplement to the D6 system.
They're all great and the continuity is flawless!
Just wanted to say that I have returned from the Dark Side and is now back playing the true Star Wars RPG.
Glad to have found this forum and will be using it frequently.
Cheers! |

Welcome back. I'm very happy that you found your way back to the light, and that your group is enjoying the games. Be sure to download the PDF books available here in the Pit. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |
