Some of the dark lady lumia's skills where artificially enhanced by mnemonic drugs, this is not the only time they have been recorded as enhancing an imperial agent, the other was an imperial saboteur called the wraith(Darkstryder box set) but no stats or rules for them are to be found, can anyone help. |

It's probably not a good idea to make those sorts of things available to players.
With that in mind, as a GM tool, you can use the guideline of how they worked on Wraith and Lumiya to boost your NPCs as need be. As a GM tool, you don't really need hard and fast rules, just common sense (which also suggests that you should almost never encounter a foe with this sort of augmentation). _________________ Hotaru no Hishou; a messageboard about games, friends and nothing at all.

Agreed. Maybe i just don't like the fact that the mnemonic drugs are being factored into a game with out guidelines for their application or requirements. |

I consider it more background flavor text. Filler, if you will. These are high-level characters, and to make them seem more villainous, they use drugs.
Maybe WEG didn't put anything more out there about the drugs because they didn't want them used by PCs.... _________________ Blasted rules. Why can't they just be perfect? |

Or there are nasty side effects that Lymiya and wraith were able to counter, but they were the only ones who could. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

I would imagine that the procedure to use Mnemonic drugs is very intense, dangerous, time consuming and labor intensive. Using Mnemonic drugs probably take a large medical team (20 or more) who need to monitor all biological functions (heart-rate, breathing, hormonal levels, mental functions and neurology) throughout treatment. The drug most like had a very low rate of success resulting, probably, in psychological damage and other undesired biological reactions (organ failure, hormonal imbalances and even death)
The fact WEG used the Mnemonic drugs so limited seems to point to that they thought, like jmanski suggest, it may be something that PC would seek to enhance their characters. Then again maybe they never got around to it. |

...Perhaps also the possibility of a high failure (mortality) rate with such drugs, leaving some side effects that could be figured in--with the Empire as it is, fatalities would be of no concern really...but it shouldn't be that way with heroic player characters. _________________ The man who thinks he knows everything is most annoying for those of us that do. |
