Not sure if this is the right place to ask it, but one of my players is interested in playing a Diathim character. Since these are part of the prequel-era EU, any D6 stats for them would have to be fanmade or converstions, but I don't see them in my copy of Gry's Big Book of Alien Stats*. Does anyone happen to have what I seek?
*Yes, I know this isn't it's real name, but everyone knew what I was talking about, right? |

The problem is you were looking in the wrong place. Diathim stats were first published in Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds, but as a nonsentient creature. Thus, you can find stats for it in the Creatures Stats books.
However, since then, the Clone Wars show showed us Diathims as very much sentient, so a new set of stats is in order.
And here it is:
Diathim (Angel)
Home Planet: Millius Prime (moon of Iego)
Attribute Dice: 13D
DEXTERITY 3D/5D+1
KNOWLEDGE 2D+1/4D
MECHANICAL 1D/2D
PERCEPTION 2D+2/5D
STRENGTH 1D+1/4D+1
TECHNICAL 1D/2D
Special Abilities:
Energy Pulse: Once every 3 rounds, a diathim can emit a white burst of energy from its chest that deals 4D energy damage. The energy pulse’s range is 3-75/200/500 and uses a Dexterity skill.
Vaccum Creature: Diathims can survive in the vacuum of space.
Force Sensitive: All diathim are Force sensitive, usually posessing the affect mind and drain energy powers.
Move: 22 (flying), 8 (walking)
Size: 2-3 meters

That's a pretty powerful species. _________________ __________________________________

Indeed. I would be mindful about letting a player make a Diathim character. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

I might house-rule it that if they wanted to play one, then you cut the attribute dice down to 11 or 10, just to balance things out. But that's just my recommendation.
I'm not saying anything about your conversion, Gry, just so you know. I'm sure it's an accurate conversion... just that WotC doesn't always produce things that are the most balanced once you port them over. _________________ __________________________________

Thing is, even with good ol'WEG, some species are simply more powerful than others. It happens. Just look at the Noghri. It's up to GMs to be careful about how they use them in their games. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |
