This is a preliminary write up I've done for the Teepo Paladins and I wanted to know what you guys think (someone with time on their hands).
I've tweaked other sources and used information from them as well, here they are:

Without further Ado, here we go:
Expanded History of the Teepo Palidins:
Nars Teepo:
Nars Teepo was a Jedi master that believed in a strange and new tenant to Jedi philosophy: change. He did not think that traditions should remain so static and rigid, and believed that Jedi should change with the times, being more adaptive. His most stand-out decision was to start training with blaster pistols which the Jedi dismissed as crude and clumsy. The Jedi community shunned Master Teepo and believed that he was actually embracing the dark side of the Force. Teepo, who took this treatment sorrowfully, exiled himself from the Jedi community but continued to train in the ways of the blaster.
Master Teepo, previous to his exile, was considered a very distinguished and respected Jedi, and several of his students and friends traveled the galaxy to find him and convince him to change his ways believing he had embraced the Dark Side. Teepo, however, could not be swayed in his beliefs and his conviction convinced many of this former students and friends that his teachings had merits. It was obvious that Nars Teepo had not fallen to the Dark Side, and he gave words to his prospective with such conviction, it was easy to see where he could be correct in his ideals. Master Teepo wasn’t evil, he simply believed Jedi could be more adaptable with modern technology, and now he had new students to learn his ways.
Eventually, the Jedi grudgingly gave Master Teepo and his students the benefit of the doubt by calling upon them for help with a great evil that was threatening the galaxy and the Force itself. Teepo and his Paladins maintained peace side-by-side with their fellow Jedi after working with them to avert calamity, then joined them again to fight in the Clone Wars. However, the great purge killed most of the Teepo’s much as the Jedi themselves were wiped out. The hermitic tradition of the school, however, saved some masters and students that were not present during the hostilities of the Clone Wars.
The School:
The Teepo School is kept secret and changes location once every five years or so. Master Teepo thought it was important to keep the school mobile both to keep the student population small (it was hard to track down), and to learn more about the galaxy first hand. The Teepo Paladins believe that it is important to adapt to the current times, and to do that, one must be familiar with the galaxy around them.
This tradition kept the school from being completely decimated by the Great Purge that followed the Clone Wars. One master, Master Temi Holt, and approximately 4 students survived the purge. The school was located on Dantooine during the Purge, and was discovered by a group of Clone Troopers that was already severely weakened from a space battle. The Troopers had to make an emergency landing on Dantooine, and were simply following their orders once they learned of the Teepo presence on the planet when they attacked. The entire squad was wiped out. Master Holt and his students evacuated as soon as the fighting was finished, hurrying to escape before their newly discovered location could be annihilated from orbit.
It is thought that Master Teepo kept an updated holocron with the school at all times, but that it was lost on Dantooine when the Teepo fled.
A fanatical group of Teepo called the Gray Knights was founded shortly following the Clone Wars. One of the students of Master Holt, Rendar Sky, decided that the Teepo weren’t taking the tenants seriously enough, and decided to become more rigid in his beliefs. “Master” Sky was killed when he refused to draw his blaster in a cantina on Coruscant. The Gray Knights say that he could not get his anger under control, and since a Teepo must never draw his weapon in anger, he did not. Instead, he was shot while meditating on top of a table, his paired blasters sitting idly in their holsters. Rendar Sky is held in the highest honor among the Gray Knights.
Ironically, the Gray Knights to not bend in their beliefs, remaining rigid in their traditions which is exactly what Master Teepo was trying to avoid when forming the Paladins.
Teepo Tenets and Code:
1.) One must never draw one’s blaster unless one is first drawn upon.
a. This means that a Teepo cannot draw his blaster unless first attacked and stands for all weapons, be they knife, lightsaber, or blaster.
2.) Aggression is the Dark side and must never be embraced. A Teepo must be at perfect peace and harmony before acting, and must never act in anger or hate.
a. The Gray Knights take this one extremely seriously, hence Rendar Sky’s death.
3.) Never use or even touch a lightsaber.
a. This code was one straight from Master Teepo, and it’s believed that this is his one ignoble act as it seemed to be a code meant specifically to scorn the Jedi that shunned him.
b. This code does not preclude the use of edged weapons, only lightsabers, and is followed by Teepo out of respect for Master Teepo.
4.) To become a full Paladin of the Teepo, one must build his or her own set of blasters (2). Until then, the use of heavy blasters and anything more powerful is not acceptable.
5.) Never carry a concealed blaster as they are a symbol of who the Teepo are.
a. In certain extreme circumstances this rule is…bendable.
6.) The Teepo endorse all aspects of the Jedi Code.
7.) The use of armor is discouraged, but not outright banned. The Teepo never use powered armor.
More Info:
A Teepo Paladin is equal in rank to a Jedi Knight, and the term Paladin is used to distinguish a Teepo from a Jedi.
Teepo Masters tend to fight blindfolded, using their powers to see the Force around them to replace their vision. During the Clone Wars, many of the great Teepo began wearing blast helmets with the face shields welded shut so they could not see.
Weilding two blasters at once is a mark of status and ability as well, showing how well the Teepo using them can control both weapons simultaneously.
Powers:
• Two Blasters at Once (a skill/ability?)
o One shot from each blaster fired at the same time counts as ONE action
o Blaster in off-hand suffers +10 difficulty unless ambidextrous
o If Dex is 3D or above, ambidexterity costs 10 CP or 1D worth of skill during character creation
If Dex is below 2D, character cannot become ambidextrous
If Dex is between 2D and 2D+2, ambidexterity costs 20 CP
o Single target, specific point on body: +10 difficulty to each shot (i.e. head, hand, foot, etc.)
o Single large target (humanoid-sized, any spot): +5 to each shot
o Two separate targets: first target = no penalty, 2nd target = +10 difficulty.
Rolls either blaster skill or the advanced skill “Double Blasters”
• Blaster Combat
o Control Difficulty: Moderate
o Sense Difficulty: Easy
o This Power can be kept up
o Effect:
This power is used to make a blaster more effective and efficient. A Teepo Jedi uses this power to control slight hand movements and to sense the movement of his target. It is basically the same as Lightsaber Combat and has all the abilities of it except for the following changes.
Parry is ranged, and one bolt can be diffused with another. The bolts do not deflect, but interfere with one another, dissipating the damaging energy present in a blaster bolt, creating a wash of laser-light (usually in the form of concentric circles) to wash over the intended target. Thus you get a light show rather than a neat hole burned through one’s chest.
If the Teepo makes his Sense roll by 15 over easy (should be Very Difficult), he automatically acts first in that round and that round only. The Teepo senses the intent and action of the opponent before the opponent can act.
The Teepo Jedi must make his Control roll at Difficult if he wishes to use two blasters in combat at onces. This negates the -1D for the first shot. The second pistol would normally give a -1D to both shots, but instead they are both at base skill if successful.
This negates the +5 difficulty for each shot when using two blasters firing in general at a humanoid target, and lowers the called-shot difficulty from +10 to +5 for each blaster.
Negates the multiple target modifiers as the Teepo is using his force-senses to detect and track enemies.
• Radar Sense
o Sense Difficulty: Moderate
o Required Abilities: Life Detection, Magnify Senses
o This Power may be kept up
o Effect
This ability is used when the Teepo can not see or is entering combat. It gives him Sense dice to add to his dice pool for each round used for initiative or for any the basic sense skills.
This power is very similar to Life Detection except the Jedi feels the emotional intentions of the people in his range. The targets can not hide from this ability because it feels the vibrations in the Force which their presences makes. The range is equal to the Teepo sense roll +10 in meters.
The Jedi does not perceive anything except the position of the creatures and the basic intentions (i.e., friendly, hate, about to attack, etc.)
• Disable Blaster
o Control Difficulty: Difficult
o Sense Difficulty: Moderate
o Difficulty rolls increase one level per 10 meters of range past 20 and one level per blaster beyond the first
o Required Abilities: Telekenesis
o Effect
A Teepo is so familiar with the workings of a blaster that he or she is able to disable it at range, by breaking the lens or firing mechanism
This disables a blaster so that it will not fire nor anything else, rendering it inert and expending its power pack. The blaster cannot be used again without a successful blaster repair roll.
• Overload Shot
o Control Difficulty: Moderate
o Sense Difficulty: Moderate
o Difficulty rolls are both Difficult for using Overload Shot on a different blaster, increasing one level for per 10 meters of range past 20 and one level per blaster beyond the first
o Effect:
Using the Teepo’s intimate knowledge of blasters, they are able to overload a single shot causing an extra 2D in damage.
This uses up 10 shots in the blaster’s power pack each use
Has a 50% chance of damaging the blaster, rendering it inoperable until repaired
• Roll a D6: 1-3, the blaster is damaged, 4-6, the blaster is fine
• Advanced Quick Draw
o Control Difficulty: Moderate
o Sense Difficulty: Difficult
o Effect:
Teepo can draw 1 or 2 blasters and shoot using only one action without suffering penalty |
