Here's some questions I have about a Star Wars Sourcebook item. How miniature is a miniature life support system, and can it be used for bounty hunter type armor enhancement if it indeed is small enough, and how long would the life support last?

No, but if it fits a regular space suit, why not a bounty hunter armor? But then again, if your bounty hunter armor is vacuum sealed and has a life-support system, then I guess it IS a space suit....

And you also have to determine what all this "life support system" does. Is the individual's helmet sealed, with an oxygen feed going from some source somewhere on his person? Or is it more encompassing, such as providing total-body pressure-sealing against vaccuum? I mean, Boba Fett's armor includes water and nutrient feed tubes that will sustain him for a while, but I don't think it is proof against vaccuum. My memory COULD be faulty, however.

Adding the system, however, might require adding a DEX penalty- thereby negating one of the reasons so many people like bounty hunter armor... since it gives protection with NO penalty. It all depends on how extensive you want the system. But with the proper modifications it shouldn't be too difficult to set up. Just be sure you hit ALL the variables.
