I have been thinking of making a force like power for non force sensitives based off the "Bullet bending" they had in the film Wanted... What are your thoughts on something like this?
I figure it would be something like:
Bending bullets
Requires Firearms 7d and a single shot (non automatic or scatter shot) firearm
When used the person spends an immedate force point (or two if using both hands), and takes 2 actions (three if using both hands). The first is to "channel (or focus)" his energies into the task then he shoots. For each target to be hit by the shell, he takes a base of 10+ range. Each additional after that adds 5 to the target number and if successful hits them all for base damage+1d (as if did a called shot). If missed but close, take off 1 target (furthest) for each 5 points less than needed that was rolled.
This is the only action (or actions if bending with both hands) that can be done in the round and the force point expenditure does NOT double dice pools. Not even reactions can be performed. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

It's not something that I'd use in my games... it just doens't make a lot of sense... but I think the mechanic works. It need to be rewritten for clarity (no offense) as it took several read-throughs to understand what you meant, but I think it is a workable idea. I just don't think it's very Star Wars. _________________ Hotaru no Hishou; a messageboard about games, friends and nothing at all.

I really like the idea but i do not like the fact that the only minimum prerequisite is to have a 7d blasters and have to spend a force point. Also you may what to add some more restrictions like the character has to have a certain gene/lineage (ie. have the player roll a d100 at character creation to see if he is under the lineage to be able to use the force and at the same time not be considered a force user and be able to put points into control)
Overall I think this is an idea that I may give some of the baddies in my campaign be able to use this mostly because I have been co-dming a campaign with a guy who gave everyone special abilities at the beggining of character creation and I have been looking for something interesting to throw at them to make it more of an even playing field. |

I know that having a 7d blasters is a high skill to have but i dont think that anyone that has that high of a blaster skill should be able to bend bullets (also i think that you can only do this bending shot with bolt throwing weapons such as weapons with bullets being that the ammount of energy that is required to bend energy such as a blaster is extremely high) I am only saying this becuase in the Wanted movie (yes i am only refering to the movie because i have not read the books) only a couple of individuals had the potential to do this and i believe it should be highly regulated by the DM becuase it is a fairly powerful ability. |

You might want to re-read to original post; the prerequisite is 7D Firearms. _________________ Hotaru no Hishou; a messageboard about games, friends and nothing at all.
