|
|
This might have been asked and answered before, but I don't know.
I need help in doing a conversion from Saga to d6. In the Saga rulebooks, they talk about a character or vehicle moving 12 squares, or an area 3×3 square. What does that convert to in d6 measurements - kilometers, kph, etc.? |

I can't believe I can actually help a little here. The Saga book has an index and I looked up the earliest "movement" page, 146. It says each square represents 1.5 meters. Humans and similar species usually have a Speed of 6, which would be 9 meters. I'm not sure how movement rules work in Saga but that's close to 10.
For spaceships, the ship's fly Speed x2 = Space. Not the first fly speed—That is All-Out, the max. It's the second fly Speed x2. With that formula, Stock YT-1300s, X-Wings, and TIE/lns convert exactly to their Space stat in WEG SW. SAGA is less nuance and I noticed that a ship that WEG has with an odd Space stat, the TIE Interceptor, is "rounded down" in Saga (same speed as standard TIE).

I thought there was a conversion somewhere. I just didn't remember where. Thanks. |

Yeah, I never included squares to movement conversions at the time. Most of the time I thought it was a given that most characters would have a move of 10. In terms of vehicles, I don't remember doing calculations of squares to max speed. I think I would use a reference from a similar vehicle that seemed right because I don't think I included a chart for doing vehicle squares to speed. _________________ __________________________________
Before we take any of this too seriously, just remember that in the middle episode a little rubber puppet moves a spaceship with his mind. |
