I don't know about you but I loved the Wanted by Cracken Sourcebook and inserts in the Star wars Adventure journals.
They were a great source of NPCs and ideas to start adventures on.
So I had this idea, there is a huge source of unusual and interesting characters right on this Forum.
What if we made a sourcebook cataloging player characters on the rancor pit website. This could be a way to immortialize a character you created and let other GM's use them in their universe.
I think if the entries were in the style of Wanted by Cracken or the wanted poster that would be great.
I thought I saw a electronic version of these forms but I don't remember where.
I think this could be a really fun project. So What do you think?
Please also check out the Star Wars Universe Sourcebook thread as we are looking for more ideas and helpful comments to bang it into shape.

I love the idea.... I think it would be an awesome way for fellow D6 Star Wars Fans and Player/Game Masters to share there creations (I.E. NPC's/PC's) A standard template would be great, that way posters could download it, add their characters and then up load them to the thread. Nifty idea. It has my seal of approval. If I have the time, I could edit the entries into the datapad format seen in the Cracken book.
What would such a book be called? I think it should still contain Cracken in the title, shouldn't it? "Cracken's Profiles - Denizens from the Rancor Pit"? Well, WEG had titles that were even longer.... _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

I think the idea of a standard template is the way to go.
I'm sure someone out there has converted a wanted poster or a bio sheet to electronic form.
If not we probably can make one. what should be the criteria for such a form?
Here's what I can think of, off the top of my head
Name
Planet of Origin
Background
Physical Description
Known Associates
Crimes?
Bounty (if any)
Era of play
Affiliation (Alliance, sith, Empire,etc.)
Age/ Birthdate ex 32 BBY
Height
Weight
Species
Gender
Personality
and of course Stats
It would be great if we can put the characters in the classifications that the wanted by Cracken has them, with modifications of course
Also memorable villains and Npcs are welcome as well.
We will probably have to have a bio on "Fluffy" the sites rancor too. |

I like it Gry. Cracken's Profiles - Denizens from the Rancor Pit
Thank you so much for offering your vast editing skills on this project.
I will do my best to keep it light as I know you have said that you have a lot of RL things going down.
The book will definitely look 1000 times better with your help and input. |

The online character creator my wife is currently finishing (the first version at least) plans to have a category for official WEG NPCs as well as NPCs people have created that they want to release for anyone to use. |

I think i can apply myself to this book as well.
I volunteer to compile all the list of entries and work with Gry on the editing
as a source, the creator and campaign should be included.

Why not just post here, so we all can have a look?
As far as format, I'd say let's do it exactly like the Wanted by Cracken book, including whatever character entries are used in that book. Here's a general template:

I agreee with Gry I think this should be a group project that comes from a consensus of ideas.
I can't wait to get home so I can write up some of my characters |

Looks like I'm first. I would like a template/pic/file to do this again and actually make the page look right.

nice job xyn,
I think we should also have any characters regardless of affiliation, example that they don't have to be wanted by the Alliance or New Republic to be included.
As most characters are either affiliated or part of the Rebel Alliance we could have a wanted by the Empire section too.
just my 2 cents |
