Ysalamiri were furry, lizard-like tree-dwellers (on average, about 50cm/1.6ft in length) native to the planet Myrkr, most known for their ability to repel the Force by creating a Force-neutral bubble. This ability evolved in response to predation by the Force-sensitive Vornskrs. Several ysalamiri together would expand their Force-neutral bubble by exponential distance - sometimes miles.
I need d6 stats for these blighters can anyone help or dose anyone have a suggestion. |

d6 stats (and fluff text) are in the Heir to the Empire Sourcebook, The Last Command Sourcebook and the Thrawn Trilogy Sourcebook.
Chances are they're (stats only) also posted on Gry's Creatures compilation. _________________ Hotaru no Hishou; a messageboard about games, friends and nothing at all.

Also, prior to the Thrawn saga, very few (palpaltine, and a few of karrde's people) knew of their capability. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Your right, but im running a game set just after the clone wars and in the story line i'm running the mandalore's have not been idol, having learned about the Ysalamiri they have secretly infiltrated karrde's operation on Myrkr and obtained genetic samples of the Ysalamiri for cloning.
So it's a good idea if i have the full limits of their abilities.
I post a full brief in the adventures section.
Thanks for the info garhkal. |

Myrkr, the home of the ysalimiri, is listed as a battle sight during the Mandalorian Wars, so it is possible that knowledge survived, or at least legends of a planet that the Jedi avoided and couldn't use the force on. |

Karrde probably wasn't there yet right after the Clone Wars, but I wouldn't put it past any other smugglers. _________________ Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. |

do you think that a sufficiantly well trained and powerfull force user would be able to defeat the force nullifying feild. I just find it hard to belive that it's an all or nothing effect. |

Within the field the Force doesn't exist. It doesn't matter how powerful the Force user is, they can't use what isn't there. _________________ Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. |

Yeah, Luke and C'baoth were the best in the galaxy at the time. If they couldn't do anything about it, we're lead to believe that it can't be done, short of killing the fuzzy little lizard. _________________ __________________________________

yup, furry little plot devices. The controlling factor of them is that almost no one knows about them. Jedi hunters are usually dark force users (inquisitors) so they wouldn't use them, and it would take a damn smart bounty hunter (character knowledge) to research jedi lore to find out about these creatures and use them effectively |

It is an all or nothing effect, but i am not sure if cloning will duplicate their natural capabilities of the bubble... _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

If the force is life then how can a life form like the ysalamiri survive in an area where there is force. |

From Wookiieepedia:
"Ysalamiri did not actually negate the Force; since all existence was infused with Force energy this would not be possible. Rather, they projected a Force bubble inside which it is completely neutral and unable to exert any influence. A single bubble measured up to 10 meters in diameter; groups of ysalamiri could extend this radius by kilometres, depending on how large the group was." _________________ Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. |
