My friends and I used to always play the SWRPG, but we have stopped because our GM has lost interest in it. I would just take his books, but they belong to his brother, so I was just going to get a few basics off of ebay and then just use the internet for the rest. I want the bare basics for the actually books with the basic rules and stats. And would I actually be able to find these books on ebay. Also is there a link to GM tips, I only did it once. |

2nd ED or 2nd Ed R&E are all you really need. Everything else is gravy... and a lot of it can be found online. _________________ Hotaru no Hishou; a messageboard about games, friends and nothing at all.

True, all you NEED is the R&E book. I like to have some extras, though.
Galaxy Guide 6: Tramp Freighters is always a good one to have. It has lots on ships, ship repair, docking, trading and the like.
Tales of the Jedi Companion is a staple for Force-oriented campaigns.
Past those three, it really depends on what kind of campaign you're doing. There are all sorts of great books out there. |

I would also recommend The Gamemaster Handbook. it has a lot of tips and helpful info for gamemasters who are starting out. _________________ -The Wookie has no pants- |

It's funny, because though it's an interesting book, it didn't teach me much of anything I didn't know. Of course, I'd already had a couple of REALLY good GMs, and so I sort of learned by good modeling. I felt like I did when I was reading the Art of War... it was like someone putting into concrete words that which I felt I knew beforehand. |
