Howzabout a forum for more off topic/humor/jokes/etc stuff? Maybe even RL news people may want to share (getting married, having a kid, promotion/raise at work, RL pics, etc)?

There used to be an off topic section. I suspect besides the staff only Myself and Ray have been here long enough to remember it.
It had some good points but it eventually got shut down after someone casually offended a long term player with an errant comment about a film.
I think it must still exist but be invisible because after it vanished my number of posts didn't drop.
[edit]All things expressed in this post are opinions not facts. I don't actually know why that section of the forum got dropped it's just a guess. Feel free to disbelieve everything I say[/edit]

I seem to remember one as well. I suppose I MIGHT be mistaken, but I don't think so.
I do remember there being a little bit of a flaming issue somewhere, but that one instance I remember was by far and away the aberration, not the norm. Usually EVERYONE here is possessed of the utmost respect for everyone else. |

Hmmmm *clicks Skyler's bio* 2005 Possible, not sure exactly when it vanished but perhaps I overestimated how long I've been here compared to other posters.
And you're correct most folks were very polite even when they had a difference of opinions

I've been here a little longer then you, Esoomian, and I don't remember an OOC. It's been requested a couple of times, but Loc wants to keep it Star Wars.

Hey you have too. Didn't see that. But I remember it clear as day. I had a very, very boring job back then so I spent a lot of time on the pit.

We did indeed have an off-topic category setup for a while, but it did not work out very well. It turned out to be too much of a source for argument/disagreement/flaming, so I got rid of it. I think the thing that makes this place so great is it's focus on the D6 Star Wars RPG, and that's the way it will stay for now.
