I just recently started an urban war game (rebels vs imperials) my group is playing a group of Urban Combat Specialists (SpecForce Template) and i need some ideas. but if you'd be so kind as to private message them to me, since my players view these forums, i'd be most greatful for any help you guys can offer
I'm trying to keep the feel kind of like WW2 urban combat... except higher technology, small unit, behind enemy lines, they just reached ground level of their incursion point after having to paraglide in |

Point is not the problem; it’s the pig that has to worry, that’s why the medic travels behind them. _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

How about this? Go to the library. Check out a couple of books on WWII and/or Vietnam. Read some of their mission briefs and adapt them to your game?
Perhaps there is a website or two on "urban warfare" or "small unit tactics" that could give you some idea of the problems faced by modern street fighters that you could present as obstacles to be overcome by your players. _________________ Know Jesus, Know Peace.

Capture a crime lord and leave him gift wrapped on the Police's doorstep, plant false evidence to get the Empire to solve your problem for you, SWAT style rescue before the Empire arrives, plant listening device to monitor your enemy without him being aware, end a "collection" racket harassing the local businesses (known as Hutt stomping), "convince" the local gangs to leave the priest and nuns alone so they can do their good work, publicly expose a corrupt politician, "replace" the ISB coordinatorwith one of his followers who won't hurt innocents, and do all of this without being identified by anyone or harming innocents.
Call it "The Ghost Campaign". _________________ Know Jesus, Know Peace.

How about the remnant of the Empire utilizing the same tactics that the rebellion used to overthrow the Empire again the New Republic?
So this small tac-team would be kind of like a counter terrorist team; the terrorist being the Imperials. _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |
