So my group finally got together after a few months due to school (and finals) taking up all our time. This would also be my 3rd time GMing ever.

The group started by flying back to the friendly space station that they use as a base. They had a chance to RP a bit. Then we got back to the base. I gave them the reward credits, a extra 1k that they can only use on the station, and a 10% discount on all items sold on the station. What ended up happening is that all of them decided to pick up power suits and get trained to use them (after they had told me that they thought power suits were stupid last time ><) They also stocked up on gear and did some tweaking to the ships and weapons.

Eventually I was able to brief them on the next mission and get them going. They RP'd a bit more on the trip to the next mission. They needed to go find a spy on another neutral space station. This spy went missing, and they needed to find out what happened.

They get to the station (I called it Freeport 7 in honor of the video game Freelancer) Now, last mission they picked up 2 crates of gadgets and nicknacks. Nobody seemed to want any of the junk. A Twi'lek they were selling some stuff too told them about a guy who liked Imp nick nacks, and showed them where he was.

This man was a Squib, and we spent a long time bartering back and forth (in my best squib impression). I tossed the group a bone and they traded the 2 crates for a medium ion cannon.

Before they had a chance to install the cannon Freeport 7 was attacked by pirates. The group headed the call to duty and helped save the station. The attack started with a group of asteroids with ion engines strapped to them headed to the station. They had a short time to blow them up. This was mostly to get me and the players used to ship combat (it was a chicken shoot mostly). It ended up that one asteroid got 1 turn away from smashing into the station.

After the last asteroid was blown up a group of headhunters dropped out of hyperspace and headed to the station. Once again the group was able to stop them (but the headhunters did get a few concussion missiles to hit the station, but they did not do too much damage)

Now heres the fun part. One group member did not have the skills to do much on the ship, so I let him play as 2 of the headhunters. He tried to do a sharp turn while near the station to get away from the players, but he failed to piloting roll terribly. He ended up smashing his ship into the station (doing almost no damage). The other headhunter he was playing tried to get away from the players by going around the station.

On the other section was a Imperial patrol ship that just finished off a headhunter. The player headed strait to the patrol ship, dodging everything wish some crazy good rolls, and hit it with a missile. It did a huge amount of damage and destroyed 2 of the weapons on it. The players ended up saving the vastly more powerful patrol ship and getting the thanks from the empire!

It was a fun game all around. The only problem was that the logistics to improve and buy/sell took much longer then I had planned so we did not have a chance to get to the real mission they were on, but we are playing again Thursday. The players were rewarded for each headhunter and asteroid they disabled/destroyed, and everyone made a lot of character points (and burned a fair amount too).

I just wanted to post this for fun. It probably is not as fun to read it as it would be to play it of coarse. I need to work on my Squibspeak ><

Looks like it was a gool ol' enjoyable game. I congratulate you on your GMing work. It seems you planned a a rich adventure, sprinkling a bit of every element necessary for a fun experience (some bartering, some RPing, some shooting, etc).

Keep up the good work.

PS: Be careful not to hand over too much stuff to your players, it can cheapen the experience after a while. Try and be a little stingy with those powersuits and shiny gadgets...

Yea, all they got was the bounty hunter suit, and they cant even use it in combat for awhile. At least until they get the skill up.

2 questions.
1) What was the reward credits value? Was this enough for those suits?
2) Was there an instructor there, or did they 'self learn'??

Yes, I did let them be trained with a instructor, and they did have plenty for the suits. I would like to point out that the suits are in fact bounty hunter armor, not something else ><
