There is a similar thread on the board that does not cover my question.
I have the 2nd Ed. Core book. The R&E Rules Update on this page has a chart for improving ships, vehicles, and weapons. If the maximum increase is + 1d+2, how does the Falcon get it's ratings?
I am assuming that there is a difference between improving and upgrading.
Please help me understand.
Also, 1st Ed. had rules for improving character weapons. Did I miss them in 2nd? _________________ Han shot first!

I'm pretty sure that the rule upgradeing a blasters damage is actually under the descrption of the skill 'blaster repair' (not positive as I am on a train and my book r&e is at home)
And the falcon is so good due to upgrades (replacing parts for better ones) and not modifications (improving an existing part). _________________ "I take orders from just one person: Me!"

Of course there is jury rigging, I thought it went hand in hand with the Falcon. _________________ "I take orders from just one person: Me!"

"Is there ANYTHING on the Falcon that isn't jury rigged?" "The Autochef." "Rahh, rahhhhh raours." "Oh, sorry, Chewie modified that to get his extra-spicey sauces." "Morah." "WHAT YOU DO MEAN, 'MELTED'?" |

Jury-Rigging is fun for the whole family, as long as you have a wild die that doesnt roll 1's: Shoot a sporting blaster pistol with the punch of an repeating blaster, wake the entire populace of Coruscant when you overtake the current swoop champion on his bike with your trusty Action IV Bulk Freighter in the middle of the night or reach your girlfriend on the next star system with your wrist-communicator! Until you roll that dreaded one on the action die... _________________ They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.--Benjamin Franklin |
