Summary: Looking for admin and new player leaders to help develop and launch a new Star Wars MUSH.
Theme: Luke Skywalker stumbles out of the wampa's cave, injured and freezing. As he collapses in the snow, he sees a vision through the Force, urging him to Dagobah. Han Solo's tauntaun freezes before it reaches the first marker, but he continues ahead without his mount. Though Han locates him, Luke dies of exposure, but not before repeating what he has been told by the apparition. And this is where our game, Star Wars X begins: the funeral of Luke Skywalker at Echo Base. Are there new heroes and villains who are ready to step onto the main stage and battle for the future of the galaxy? (loosely inspired by the events of Dark Horse Comics Star Wars Infinities books)
Vision: This game is intended to develop a cooperative writer's space with resources, discussion, and game systems designed to support that. We have a few unique optional RPG components for fun and spice, but these things are designed to help recreate the community building tabletop experience, not create a competitive environment (we are consent-based). The overall MUSH plot will be directed by the players in their daily RP and also in regular TP/plot open meetings. New @building evolves based on player directives and interest rather than asking you to populate a static playspace. We are also working to provide a neat suite of tools for you to run your own WEG (d6) campaigns (other timelines, any characters, GM-led, organized however you like) as well.
Status: All the foundational code is in place (space, chargen, support systems, and globals) but there's plenty of opportunity for development and improvement. No IC building is ready.
Next steps: April & May -- Build/create policy. Frame up starting TPs. Work on your own characters. We'll open "when it's ready," but are aiming for an opening in June.
Admin Roles Needed: Descers, builders, theme development. Build out the areas for the launch TP. Develop building policy and guidelines. Plot staff needed. Need people to help coordinate, stimulate, and, if necessary, adjudicate, player plots. Code should be minimal, or at least "Apple-like," and "just work." Trainers to set up RP, TP/PrP classes. Outreach admin to spread the SWX gospel, manage the wiki formats/policy/content.
The main expectation for admin is to RP, with flexible roles designed to accommodate the ebb and flow of your interest/availability to take on admin projects.

P.S. You can use a variety of clients to connect to the game, including basic TELNET on your computer. We recommend Potato MU (http://www.potatomushclient.com/) for Windows/Linux, and Atlantis for Mac.
