What is the flavor of Firrereo Truenames?
What type of nicknames do they use instead of their truenames?
What are the Firrereo's stance on the Empire?
I ask because I'm thinking of running a force user under Neo Imperial command, as part of an squad, not sure exactly what type of elite force though.
I can still do good as an Imperial, I'm sure of it. |

Best thing to tell you is to download Gry Sarth's Alien's Stats book... it's a great compilation of all the stats you need...
BEST WAY TO DOWNLOAD THEM: RIGHT CLICK AND CHOOSE "SAVE AS.."

Firerreo are near-humans, with 2D/4D for all attributes, with protected vision (nictating membranes over the eyes that protect from small debris, bursts of light and keeps their vision clear in water) and they heal twice as fast as normal.
They believe that using truenames gives power, so if you find out a Fire's truename, if you use it, you gain +1D to skills trying to influence them.
Golden skin that turns silver when frightened, and streaked hair

Firrerreos were created by Vonda McIntyre about the time when WEG was about to fall into chaos in 1994 and lose its Star Wars licence several years after, so it probably didn't get statted officially.
I'm reluctant to mention the name of the novel cause when I first read it it was the first time in my life I had a paradigm shift, that Star Wars can actually be considered suckage. Two minutes after finishing the novel my brain started to drip out my ears.
Okay! Okay! I'll give the novel's name. Crystal Star. There happy? Now I have to take a bath for just saying it out loud.

| I know you guys outrank me as far as posting numbers, but, I still have those questions, and have gotten no answers.... and if you read the book, those questions shouldn't be that hard to answer, unless you wanted me to go read the book in question. |

You may have already found it by now, but also on the DLOS site, they do have a page on naming conventions for various races under their "Supplements".
As for nicknames, I'd go with something based off of their "true" names, or what they're known for...
For example... "Tiger" might be the nickname of someone whose true name is Tigrin... or, he/she might be a dedicated fighter...

Let's just put it this way: I just reread the book because it'd been a long time since I read it the first time. The ONLY reasons I suffered through it again was to go over some issues that had been raised in other threads/sites concerning the book, and I wanted to brush up on the knowledge. That, and I'm going back and rereading the novels in chronological order for the heck of it.
McIntyre's writing style is best suited to juvenile readers, elementary level at best in my opinion. Categorizing it in the YA (young adult) section of the library would be a real stretch.
If that was her intended audience, then she did alright. If it was intended for us die-hards, however, then she fell quite short of the mark. |
