I am a Gm for a Star Wars D6 game and me and a few of my peeps *snicker* were thinking of how to stat out lightsaber forms, such as combat advantages and disadavntages when fighting. This came up becuase one of the sith they are fighting, Fear as they call him, is a force user that uses alot of Lightsaber forms, from Double balded to tonfa, and i want to know how to stat him out

For a character to learn new lightsaber forms, the basic deal is this: beginning users learn Form 1. It gives them a decent base upon which to build as they increase in skill.

When a user gets up to 5D, they can then add a second skill to their repertoire. Read the Form information carefully; there are details you don't want to miss. For instance, in the novel for EPI III it describes how Anakin switches from Form to Form to Form during the duel with Darth Tyrannus. You want to make sure the appropriate penalties are properly applied in cases like these, such as length of time before all the benefits, etc. for the new style kick in. Or, how when a Jedi uses Form X (Jar'Kai, the dual saber style) there's only a -2 penalty for using two weapons at the same time, but if the Jedi switches to a different style while still using both sabers, the penalty goes back to full because the new style wasn't designed for primary use with two sabers like Jar'Kai was.

From the 5D point, a Jedi can add another style every 2D afterwards, so at 7D, then 9D, etc. they can add another style to their arsenal.

This information is very interesting and informative; it should help you greatly to craft a good campaign with realistic characters.
