So what's your favorite race in Star Wars? Is there a particular race you find that you end up making a lot of your characters? I know sometime the race you like isn't the one you like to play. Just curious how that works for others.
One last question, what percentage of the PC's end up being human in the games you've been in? _________________ Luke, I am your father.

That's...highly unlikely.
The Force? Bacteria called midichlorians.
If you don’t take this seriously I'm out. |

I like the Mashi Horansi. Don't know why exactly, but they always seemed cool to me. Usually I end up making a human character just because they're easier to understand/roleplay. I'd like to try a Coynite at some point, but there's a lot of challenges in doing that the right way. I'd probably have to have some sort of cheat sheet with all the stuff I'm not supposed to do in front of me.
In all the games I've been in, probably 80% of characters and 95% of players have been humans. |

I'm fond of two actually, Togorians and Defel.
As to the humans in game percentage, I'd say 98%. |

I'm fond of Barabels. They make good merchants and such: Good perception means decent haggling, and strength plus body scales means they can get away when the deal turns sour. |

I like the Verpine race. Maybe because i like the Tech/Gadgeteer-sorta class, and Verpine fit with that perfectly.
Hmm.. In the last game i ran, it was 2 out of 3. (There. It changed.)

Not my idea of a good tech race.....unless you want everything jury rigged together. Don't get me wrong, they can make some awesome stuff.....but I'm almost always scared to actually use any of it.
Verp: Here's the blaster you ordered.
Me: Thanks. You worked on it?
Verp: Yes.
Me: Oh.
Verp: I made a few additional modifications for free. Just whatever you do, don't push the red button next to the safety unless [Tech calls for help from back] I have to help him, just...just don't push the red button unless it's an emergency. Enjoy!
Me: Ummmmm........thanks?

And Verpine have pretty good Tech skills, plus they get +2D on every tech skill they use.
And youre example: That's what i like! |

They're great techs....problem is you never know what they did or how they did it. The race as a whole has an issue resisting the urge to jury rig things or fix things in a "non-standard manner". It's really discouraging when one of these guys goes in to fix the hyperdrive with a roll of duct tape, bits of bailing wire, and sticks of bubble gum. _________________ Luke, I am your father.

I'd have to say my favorite race is definately those loveable Mon Calamari. Ever since I saw RotJ with Ackbar, I have loved the Mon Cals. Don't know exactly why. After all I know they aren't the best looking alien race in Star Wars, but there's just something about them. They look different enough from the norm without looking too creepy, or too stupid I think. That, and they taste great poached with a side of coctail sauce
Next to the Mon Cals, I also like the quarren, the Rodians, and the Wookies.
As for games, there has been an unfortunate imbalance to the number of Human characters in my games, weighing in at about 85% of all characters ever played in my Star Wars games. In my current game, there is only 1 alien PC, and he is an obscure race at that (Gand). _________________ "There's a set way to gain new Force Points and it represents a very nice system, where you're rewarded for heroism, not for being a poor conductor to electricity." ~Jachra |

I always enjoyed the idea of playing a Falleen, made a couple - don't remember ever getting to play one though. I always liked the non-humans though. _________________ Luke, I am your father.
