|
|
So I’m working on creating my Star Wars Universe and I want your guy’s thoughts and idea
So I’m wanting to do it in the future I’m thinking 150 ABY
Cade Skywalker Killed Darth Krayt and fractured the One Sith. Cade disappeared with his family and wanted to be left alone
The One Sith reformed into a group of Sith with more order and are controlling a certain part of the galaxy (I have more info if you are interested) with certain ranks and rules about apprentices and orders and how things are done
I also think there will be small pairs of Sith returning to rule of two that hate both the One Sith and the Jedi order
The Fel Empire would be able to regain a large amount of the power. They have their imperial knight’s as peace keepers, they will have a truce with the Sith Empire and the New Republic somewhat of a peace keeper between the two groups because they both know they would need their help to destroy the other group.
The Alliance has been able to keep power and freedom over the time and repelled both the Sith and The Fel Empire to establish themselves with the help of the reborn Jedi order. So they have a truce with the Fel Empire and are at a cold war with the Sith Empire
The Jedi order has been reborn and have become very powerful again. Ten or twenty years before the game starts, a small group of Jedi found a huge space ship crashed and frozen on a small moon. This ship belonged to the Jedi Order during the Old Republic. A Jedi archivist had foreseen the destruction of the order so he copied everything in the Jedi archives into new holocrons and fled into deep space in this craft. The Jedi crew went into a hibernation trance and the craft froze in deep space and crashed onto this lost moon. It has been lost for a 1000 years or so, with all this information the order was able to reestablish it’s self as a huge power in the galaxy again.
I’m wondering what you guys think of having these three powers in the world and dealing with who you work with and ally yourselves with.
This is a very very rough synopsis of my notes I have been building.
Please give me your ideas and questions |

I like the Legacy Era myself. It has many of the aspects of the classic era and some new ones. I was never really fond of the Vong, but I like them in this time. My only gripe about Legacy is that, with the exception of the Star Destroyers, the ships got ugly.
But anyway. Do you plan on Cade or perhaps his kid/s making appearances? It seems no matter how hard he tries the galaxy just pulls him back in. Depending on what place your pcs fit in your universe, such as center stage like Luke and Han or on the sides like regular pcs, would you consider allowing a player to be a Skywalker? Maybe Cade's son or daughter?
What type of game will you be running? Or are you just developing the background universe? _________________ "This job is 90% talking to people and 10% shooting at them." |

I plan on Skywalkers making a few apperances depending on what the players do with the world right now they just want to be left alone, and live there lives.
Im just kind of setting up my world it was be very sandboxy and more then likely force user driven
I really dont like the Vong that much either im just kinda sweeping that into the past |

Well if your wanting to setup a Legacy Era campaign, first thing is to read the comics Legacy v1 and v2, but more than likely you have already done this. There are no books for Legacy Era either nor short stories. This leaves the Legacy Era Sourcebook for Star Wars Saga. You can read the fluff and get a lot of information from this. The last thing is to get the Legacy Era Conversion book that was done by folks in this community that gives everything from the Saga sourcebook and gives them D6 stats. Hope that helps. _________________ Don Diestler

I'm afraid I do not understand your question or what it is in reference to. _________________ Don Diestler

For my Star Wars Universe are there to many power groups (The Fel Empire the Sith Empire, The Galatic Alliance, The Jedi's, The other sith)
So is this to many groups to be dealing with? |

There are many, many groups in the SWU. I would not say there are too many, but you will need to work out how they work together or against each other. What their goals are, goals and so on. Some groups will never come into contact with one another because of astrographical location and political self-interest. Also just because you have all these groups does not mean they will be the center of whatever story your choosing to tell. _________________ Don Diestler

I have usually only ran small games lasting only 2 to 4 sessions each and played in a few others in the Star Wars Universe
I have GMed many other game systems but what things do I need to think of for creating and Running a Star Wars Campaign? |

I would strongly recommend reading the GM's handbook which can be found for download on the d6holocron. _________________ Don Diestler

What usually helps a lot is scenery pictures to use as locations. Original concept art is always a great place to find neat looking locations. _________________ "EXECUTE ORDER 67.
