|

Have you guys read the new entry in the Official Star Wars Website? Well, in it it's revealed that the movie Willow and it's book sequels "Chronicles of the Shadow War" actually take place in the Force-rich planet Andowyne, in the Kathol Rift, IN THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE! To make matters worse, this planet is possibly the homeworld of the *gasp* midi-chlorians! Which I guess is meant to explain why there's all this magic around. Databank entries reveal that "Weasel" (Warwick Davis' Ep1 character sitting next to Watto in the podrace) actually IS Willow.
Now is it just me or is that one of the most ludicrous, pathetic and unnecessary moves made in the Star Wars universe? I mean, c'mon, do we really need magicians, witches, fairies and whatnot in the Star Wars universe?!
I can just picture an adventure with a group of Rebel SpecForce Commandos infiltrating a castle do steal the magic wand that belongs to an imperial-simpathysing witch..... ...now THAT's Star Wars! _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Well, I just went and looked at the sight myself. If this is an April fools joke thay decided to go prety deep. To go so far as to give all the main willow chr. a SW tie in back ground.
I don't know I think its sounds kinda cool. But hay Im a freak! _________________ We're all gona die!! |

Yeah, quite a bit of labor went into making this joke. Wouldn't it have been better instead to work on actually useful entries, like maybe something about the Sarrish and Zeuolin alien species and many other Ep3 background characters? _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Yeah, but not all people are as dedicated to their craft as you are...
In fact, some people are all about nuttin' but the joke. All else is just details. |

Don't feel bad gry the bb that I play on got us all last year by having for a week a Department of Justice Screen when you came to the site stating that the group was shut down because of copyright infringement of using the SW universe without Lucas' permission. |

You could say the same thing about E.T., and that was no April Fools' joke.
BTW, the name of E.T.'s homeworld, as mentioned in a spin-off novel released around the time of the film, is Vomestra. Very Star Warsy, don't you think? _________________ Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose. |

Yes you can; however, that was not an April Fool's joke. You can plainly see them.
Was it a bad idea? Could be. Was it a mite nostalgic for those of us who were kids when E.T. and Star Wars came out? You bet. But with all the changes and inconsistencies that have been brought about by the clash between the novels and the movies, it's difficult to say some of the things that have been bad ideas from the start, and which appear to be bad ideas now that the prequels have been put out.
Notice I said SOME things. There are still some things that were NEVER good ideas... |
