I have a thought on the Bargain skill. I know the rules state that it should be bargain vs. willpower. Doesn't it make more sense when a player is trying to bargain is have the opposed roll also be bargain. Example is when you are haggling with a used car salesman about the price of a car. |

The rules state it is bargain vs. willpower? Hell, that makes no sense, and I am glad I have been ignoring it this entire time. _________________ My backpack has jets!

You are right, I am wrong I misread the rules. On the plus side I always have played bargain vs. bargain so I guess no harm no foul. |

We always used bargain vs. bargain... And while we have gotten some tremendous discounts in some hagglings (60% and more) when we botch our haggling roll, we end up buying a bunch of additional stuff we didn't even want, like that time we were purchasing a new speeder bike. We wound up buying additionally a special air conditioned flight suit and protective helmet, as well as windshield cleaning detergent, emergency repair kit, reflective rally stripes, "How to do fin adjustment by yourself" data crystals and extra strong search lights and a spiffy electronic lock system.
Strangely enough almost all of these things were of use sometime later in the adventure in weird and interesting was not even our GM could foretell... |
