Due to my long absence, I'm late to seeing this too.
My condolences to you and your family on your loss, garhkal. I am glad to hear that you were prepared for your mother's passing and have made peace with it, given her other health issues, but I know how difficult it can be regardless.
My condolences too to Whill, re: the loss of his father. I'm sorry that you both had to be the ones to make the decision re: DNR wishes, though I’m glad you knew that was what your loved ones had wanted.
When my mother passed back in November of 2009, due to a stroke, my father had to make that DNR decision. I don't think I would have been able to do so, in the moment. You're all stronger than I am, in that regard.
