I'm sure that Gry is just busy and he hasn't made it to the boards for a while.
We'll hear his opinion when he gets things under control life-wise. We've got to remember that this is just a game, and that real life has always got to come first.
Don't worry, Gry's not going to disappear on us. Soon enough you'll have a new PDF, and we'll get on to the next one. (Actually, I think the next one is actually waiting on me to get stuff finished.) _________________ __________________________________

You know, I think I saw someone using Rend for the first time, or at least trying to use Rend, in the preview for the forthcoming Legacy comic Storms #1 of 2. Here's the link to the preview:

Cheshire, are we including a conversion for the Rend power?
The book is almost over, I'm just going over the Force powers one last time. And then I have to close the issue with that whole Ion Cannon superweapon...
I hope to release this during the weekend, after the next episode of TCW comes out, so I can get a better picture of the Hyena Bomber. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

I don't see why not, unless you've got a problem with the conversion mechanics.
I've got Pall of the Dark Side, Cloak, Phase, and Rend on this page:
http://www.rancorpit.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2441&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=45
Shatterpoint sense and Shatterpoint Strike are on the previous page if I'm not mistaken.
If there is a problem with the mechanics, I'll need to get that sorted out in the next 19 hours. I'll be without internet access for about 10 days, and I'd hate to delay the book. _________________ __________________________________

Oh, sorry, I had missed that one. That's fine, the only power that disgusts me is Phase. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Me too. I think it's a blemish on Star Wars. I converted it because it was in the book.
I'll take two reborn emperors and another series of Vong before that power any day.
No offense to those of you that liked those series. _________________ __________________________________

Not only that, but the Dark Woman used that in Emissaries to Malastare after she finished talking to Ki-Adi-Mundi about his encounter with Aurra Sing on Tatooine.
Like I suggested earlier in this thread, maybe we should treat that power as an exclusive power of sorts in that it's not a power Jedi, Dark Jedi, or even a Sith usually learns. The only way one could generally learn this power and others like it, malacia and morichro for example, would be to learn about them from a Holocron or from someone who actually knows one of them. In the latter case, I'd say the number of available teachers, so as to speak, would be considerably small. Definitely no more than a handful for each of these exclusive powers. |

The only way you can learn it in my game is by picking up that holocron on that large red X underneath that precariously suspended piano. _________________ __________________________________

and of course, once you learn it, as you go out of phase, to pass through the wall, your armor and lightsaber don't, which is problematic since the next room holds the main Sith enemy for the campaign _________________ This new hand, it's a fightin' hand! |

Leaving your clothing behind could be difficult to explain to all the Sith guards.
Anyhoo... It's been in a cartoon, and there's an official Star Wars book that's established it. So I converted it. I don't like all the things that WotC has done, but they're the game designers, and not me. I set out to do conversion guides and not to play editor in chief with their content.
You folks can do with my conversions whatever you like. _________________ __________________________________

Ok, with the release of the Legacy of the Force sourcebook, I think it's well past time to release this baby. So, without further ado I present you
The Clone Wars Campaign Guide - D6 Conversion

As always, try to point out any mistakes as soon as possible, before it starts spreading.
Big thanks to Cheshire and everyone who contributed in way way or another. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Perfect timing.
I see you decided to skip doing Phase.
I looked through the Legacy Campaign, and from what I've seen, I think what you have down for Shatterpoint Strike will serve as a D6 conversion for the Detonate power that's in the Legacy Campaign. |
