"Yes," Roth replies. "I do not mean we should not search thoroughly. I simply think we should use our available resources to their fullest potential." |

The group very carefully searches the chamber for any sign of what they have been sent to find. Daevon manages to uncover a locket while Keval calls everyone to the altar. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Roth comes over to the altar, leery of what he's going to be shown. He holds his torch high to better distribute the light. |

"Take a look at this," Keval says as he holds up a partially burned sroll. "The rest of the ashes and charcol on this altar look like they've been here for ages. But the ashes and burns on this scroll look pretty fresh though the scroll looks ancient. Almost like someone was trying to get rid of it and left before they could be certain there would be nothing left of it." _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

"That could very well be directions to find the artifact," Roth said. "I wouldn't be surprised if it were written in ancient Sith..." |

Syllri, examining the locket found by Daevon, shuffles over to the altar and looks at the scroll, attempting to translate if possible. _________________ Check out some of my games at DriveThruRPG!

The locket appears to be too modern to be in this ancient pyramid. Syllri discovers a set of coordinates and a word, Posel inside the locket. looking at the chain, it looks as if it may have fallen off the wearer.
The scroll is another surprise as it is written in an ancient dialect of Syllri's own people. Unfortunately, it's pretty badly burned and not all of it is there. What he manages to read is:
Quote: | The Kaba..... manhk..... used to raise a..... army and give it...... ce. This army..... user chooses from...... s. The...... allows the user to summon the....... mind...... world. These...... them to...... injuries.... warrior de..... l. ........t........ warrior is...... damage it...... does absolutely nothing. The....... user to...... m. Now...... warrior...... damage........ it will not be affected by the injuries. The user........ ce.

Syllri nods in silence. He holds the locket toward Roth, "Intriguing, don't you think? That scroll is written in a language of my people from centuries past. It is hard to make out all the words due to the burns, but I'll read what I can.

Roth takes the locket from Syllri and studies it as Syllri reads the scroll
"That strange, I expected it to be written in the Sith language. Do you think one of you're people may have been a Sith? And I wish there was more to it than that. Sounds rather ominous what little is there."
Roth then holds up the locket and looks at it's contents.
"Anyone recgonize these coordinates or know what Posel means?" _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

"With the path to the dark side being so very wide and easy, any number of my people could have joined forces with the Sith. As far as I know, however, the people that used this style of writing in our past hadn't even heard of the Sith." _________________ Check out some of my games at DriveThruRPG!

Roth thinks for a few minutes before replying
"Then why write it in one of your people's languages? Is it a Sith amulet or is it something else? Or did one of your people discover this amulet and decide to hide it from those who would use it for evil?" _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Syllri glances back at the parchment, "The simple answer is, I don't know. But I'm certain that we shall find out soon enough. Let's keep looking around to see if we can find some more answers." _________________ Check out some of my games at DriveThruRPG!

The group searches the pyramid for another two hours but fail to come up with any more clues or any sign of the amulet. Forced to conceed defeat, they return first to Wigburh's village and then to the farming community where they left their ship. Perhaps there they can begin to study the locket and burnt scroll a bit closer. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Roth will activate Concentration, then add the bonus 4D to his Investigation to check out their find.
3D Investigation + 4D bonus= 7D |

Upon further investigation of the locket, Roth finds a makers mark. Checking the Raptor's computer, he manages to learn that this particular mark, belonging to a a jewler out of Alderaan, was last used about twenty years ago before the jeweler added a crown to the marker. So the locket itself is at least twenty years old. The coordinates inside appear to be a set of both hyperspace and sublight coordinates. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!
