Re: Squad leader GF
I might... depends on whether it's a PC or NPC; if NPC, I'll consider, if PC, not so keen. This is only my second time playing a female character Razz

I'll work on background and personality and all that junk Wink General concept is quick witted, intelligent and nimble, not the best pilot, but eager to prove herself

Sorry for the OCD... I am just a stickler for details and keen on visuals. What skin color is your Twi-Lek? Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Orange, Pink, Brown, White, Red... Is she shapely or thin? Tomboy or womanly? Just like to get a feel for the visuals as the NPCs will probably be typical military men around her and will/may respond to her based on looks.

Hey All,

If anyone still wants to join in on this, now would be the time. We currently have 5 of the 12 pilots assigned. Still looking for 2 human pilot PCs, a Sullustan PC and Mon Calamari PC. If these slots are not filled by September 15, I will go ahead and generate these as NPCs. My preference would be that we get a few more players so I am not running 7 NPCs of the band but I will do what I must. Anyone that wants to take on a second player character may do so as well.

Thanks,

MM

Sorry, this hit the ol' back burner. I'll get all this to you tonight to tomorrow.

Still playing with the background, but here're a couple details:

Appearance: K'yralah is tall and slender with fairly typically striking Twi'lek features, verging in intensity towards predatory; attractive, yet slightly offsetting. Her eyes are a clear pale grey, and her skin is green with olive hues. Her lekku have pale spotting along the top, and there is spotting on her face near the temples/ears. She wears a single silvery band on her right lekku, near the base. Her bearing is strong and aloof, even bordering on cold.

Personality: K'yralah thinks quickly, and while intlligent, sometimes her mouth moves before she's properly considered the consequences. Quick-witted, mildly sarcastic, K'yalah speaks her mind and stands up for what she believes in; having been a victim in her past, she has no intention of playing that role again. Despite her intensity, she can appear disconnected and aloof, unwilling to put her weaknesses on display.

Background: K'yralah is a native Rylothian, hailing from a small village, Galroht, which was small enough to be deemed insignificant by the Imperial government, and largely fell below its notice; political slaves were rarely taken from the village. Her early life was fairly unremarkable; third of four children, and only daughter, of Meena and Ginn Dothee'a. As the only daughter, K'yralah's was largely ignored by her parents, who seemed to favour their male children. While she was not neglected, K'yralah found herself working for her parents' recognition, gaining achievements beyond those of her brothers and classmates to gain lesser acknowledgement. K'yralah was forced to develop and learn quickly, and was a highly independent child, though much of her independence was a front, protecting an eager, sensitive child who always felt on the fringe.

When she was 17, Galroht was raided by slavers with the Kun'taf Syndicate; the band of slavers was able to capture nearly 68% of the village with relatively little effort, K'yralah and her younger brother Di'ik were among those captured. The slavers had captured them intending to sell them off to the Hutts, loading them into a run down transport destined off-world. The ship made it to hyperspace, but never made it to its destination. Conditions were cramped, alternately too cold and oppressively hot as the life support system faltered, and the slavers would visit their cargo to have their… fun. While she was not badly injured in the process, the trauma was extremely damaging to K'yralah's psyche.
During the multi-stage hyper-route, the slavers used Rodia as a refueling jump point. Unfortunately, a Rebel X-Wing strike team was also passing through the system, returning from training exercises near Ando. In port, the team heard news of slavers passing through, and, with some investigation, were able to determine which vessels were involved. Radioing for rebel support, the team, led by PANIC SQUAD LEADER, engaged the slavers as they left port, preventing them from entering hyperspace. The X-Wing squad made short work of the slavers and their aging, though tactically modified transports, and Rebel reinforcements arrived in short time to board and claim the slave ships, ultimately freeing the slaves before they made their way to market.

Exceptionally frightened by the whole experience, K'yralah was unable to return to Ryloth to face her family, and, really, there was nothing for her there. She remained with her rebel emancipators, rebuilding her courage and strength, feeling especially grateful towards the pilots of the X-Wing squad that had decided they were worth saving, gratitude verging on idolatry. She was from a simple world, she'd never piloted anything more than a domestic speeder for short distances, but, once she was able to operate somewhat normally, she decided she would become a pilot like her saviours. With no raw talent for flying, it took all of her wit, focus and adaptability to develop the rudimentary skills, taking lessons from various rebel pilots, anyone who would offer tips or let her operate a speeder, or even short stints in one of their aging fighters. Learning was hard, but she made consistent progress, eventually gaining recognition from the rebel fleet officers, who offered her a place in the Alliance fleet within the year.

K'yralah took part in several small operations in the next five years, building a name for herself, proving and improving her skills with a number of craft; Y-Wings, Cloak-shape Fighters, Z-95s, various light freighters, speeders, and even a few opportunities to fly X-Wings and A-Wings. She was equally competent in many mission profiles, from escort to strike missions, and while her lack of innate talent did slow her down somewhat, her tenacity carried her through where many would have failed.

She managed a meeting with PANIC SQUAD LEADER when she was 22, and expressed her interest in working with him… short version, she was able to prove herself, the two fell in love, Panic Squad formed and they fly together…

I'm gonna need some collaboration/information from you, MattMartin23, to wrap this up

At this point, I'm guessing that this story idea is dead? I havent seen MattMartin23 online in a couple of months now.

I'm not willing to run it myself, but if someone wants to run this game, or one similar to it, I'd still be interested in playing.

Yeah, I think I made up my mind that the thread was dead back in October. I just figured that if I bumped the thread to show that someone was still interested, it might draw our wayward GM back if he has been lurking. And if not, maybe someone else would take up the GM torch.

Hello All,

I was hit with a great many situations these past few months. I do very much want to keep the game alive. I will try and get it going in a couple of weeks. So sorry for dropping off the face of the Earth.

Best,

Matt M
