That has been changed however..
Because this fighter is a one-off design, that means that a special design of missile was built, and a launcher, that can be used on a ship that size without causing serious problems. |

Hmm. Perhaps you should spend some more character points on that particular skill. No one here is saying that you have to turn your game into a flight simulator, but there are a several people here who have no problem with inserting a degree of realism into our campaigns, including rules drawn from various flight simulators, such as the X-Wing game. Belittling this gaming approach simply because you don't agree with it is not generally appreciated. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Gentleman..
I asked for the help of this forum in regards to getting this and my other ship licked into shape..
Please don't start mud-slinging.. Please be civil.
I would like to hope that I would get more help in the future, but nice and calmly.
I appreciate any views and information you can all offer.. In return, i will offer my own constructive views. |

I have kept it civil even with his "needling" I continue to keep it civil. Going so far as to redact a portion of my original post. When he posts something, I do not rise to the bait, but tell him nice job and that his input is appreciated. I hardly think I am taking part in any mudslinging. I do understand your concern though and share it as well. Everyone should strive to have fun and not go out of their ways to be offended. I like to think we are all mature adults and do my best to interact with others that way. _________________ Don Diestler

What was your intention insofar as the differing ways the two types would be used? Would they be used to complement each other, as part of a mixed strike force of some kind. I know when I first read the topic title of your other ship, my first thought was of the Light, Heavy and Medium fighters used in the Wing Commander series, with each type bringing different strengths and weaknesses to the table. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. I got a complaint about the thread, and so I'm putting a 24 hour cool down on it. The thread will be locked until this time tomorrow night. _________________ __________________________________

So, if I want people to stop wasting their time in this thread, and spend it on discussions I find interesting, I can see what I can do to kindle another flame war?
(Or will that just get me banned...? ) |

I don't have administrative powers enough to ban people. I do however, have 1) the location of your IP address, 2) a crowbar, and 3) a full tank of gas.

I think that Portland is a bit far to drive from Boston, anyway. _________________ __________________________________

Just give me the word, ches. I'm much closer (only about a three hour drive), and I'd be glad to go bust a few kneecaps for you, provided the bounty is high enough! _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |
