I remember that, there was a massive push to get enough people for it to be counted as a religion and then the Governement said that it wouldn't be counted anyway hence the decline. | From the wiki article I couldn't tell if people really wanted it to count or if it was a protest against asking about religion on the census. In a similar vein, a very good friend of mine used to describe himself as a Reformed Druid for similar questions. I think the "reformed" part meant no actual human sacrifices, but I could be wrong about that. |

OK, so that's it. My character just turned to the dark side. Three dsp in one session. I guess it was inevitable. I was not The One. _________________ Random is who random does... |

The funny thing was that one of the DSPs came from calling on the Dark Side in a situation where using a FP to save the whole party would been the way to go... So, given that you preferred the Dark Side even when having a choice perhaps it was inevitable.. _________________ My Biggest Beard Retard award goes to: The Admiral of course.. |

We GMs have the unfair advantage of starting out on the Dark Side. 8) _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier

Yes, I have no idea what happened there. | Must have been based on some Random die role. |

I think that I subconsciously must have given up trying to resist the dark side. But I would have crossed over when we fought the evil Sith biatch at the end of the game session anyway.
Too bad, but that's just how it is. We could have turned chicken instead of attacking the forces of evil head on. We paid the price. A real pity it's over, since I really enjoyed the fall from grace (not that grace ever existed in my character or even the party). At least I got to shoot cool and fantastic lightning bolts before I was captured!
Now I have to figure out a new character to play... Maybe not a force sensitive this time I enjoy random acts of mayhem far too much. _________________ Random is who random does... |

Good thing your turning to the dark side didn't make it to where you turned ON the party. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Once it was clear that there was no turning back from the path to damnation I had planned to bring my apprentice with me. But there was no time and no way to mess everything up more that I already had without outright killing everyone. I switched roles with my evil apprentice. I still failed... I just plain suck at evil plots... _________________ Random is who random does... |

So you can't really lose. Either your good plot works, in which case your character's plot works or your good plot ends up twisted by fate and chance into an evil plot and then your innate desire for random evil is satisfied. |

My plots are always good in the beginning and they always end up twisted and evil. It's good that they fail even when they go bad. Maybe I should start out evil next time and it will go wrong in the other direction _________________ Random is who random does... |

Yeah, try running an evil character who somehow can't help doing good. |

I had character sheets drawn up with extensive backstories and such for the purpose of doing just that, when my old GM up and moved to the other coast, and the game fell apart. If anyone tries this, let me know how it works. _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier

Not exactly the same, but this got me to remember a short story about 'the good nazgul' who was picked on by the other nazguls because he wasnt eeevil.. The story made fun of the fact that bag guys (in this case in fantasy/ ad&d) often was being described like stereotypes and cliches.
But even the good Nazgul had a relapse problem, so he had to live under the Tree of Kindness to keep on the straight path...
Man, I must have read this in the 80s... _________________ My Biggest Beard Retard award goes to: The Admiral of course.. |
