Is one idea
Skyler your slicer skilled in ship repairs or just mainly computers and security? With some combat?
I like tech chars also, just tend to be more repair oriented.
Also thought about a sector ranger, undercover. See the template I was working on. |
I'm thinking primarily computers, with some combat focus. I'll let you know more when I have him fleshed out better. |

How exactly do we do specializations under Brawling/Brawling Parry if there are no martial arts? What kind of things would you be looking to include here? |

Holds/grappling
Throws
Defense/blocking
Punch
Kick
Defense vs melee/disarm
If you think of something else I'll consider it. I like to keep things simple. Martial arts rules inevitably lead to complications.
Something complicated, like a nerve punch, is knowledge of anatomy, to know where to hit, and a called shot. A punch to the elbow is a simple called shot. |

For the 'something complicated' kind of attack then, would a First Aid roll suffice (which could arguably be hampered by not having a specialization in a certain species), or would you require us to have the Advanced skill Medicine (which, again, could arguably be mitigated by a lack of specific species knowledge).
I don't ask to make things more difficult; I am MORE than cool with keeping things simple. I'm just trying to see how my character would need to be built in order to make him as useful as possible. |

First aid would make sense to know where nerves and such are, especially for a species you've worked on before. |

Alien species check for weak points. Maybe have a fluency rule like languages.
Is one idea.
Would work for first aid and medicine also. |

I posted Sladru Narth to the character page. I can make adjustments to story as needed to meet up with the group. |

I didn't know we had a character page. I didn't ask for a thread yet. I'm still trying to work out a title.
Right now I'm thinking "Smugglin' Ain't Easy" but that's just a working title.
Suggestions? |

I may be interested, if we go through with this, I think I'd vote smuggler campaign. I've got a meager bounty hunter character, nothing fancy. |

We'd already pretty much voted on the Smugglers campaign.
Doesn't look like too much has happened in the last month. Quite honestly, that's worked well for me; I work for the Postal Service, and as such have been busting SERIOUS @$$ the last month and a half, so the hiatus has kept me from being too far behind.
I'm on vacation now for two weeks, at my parents' house, so I'll be only on sporadically during that time; hopefully I'll be able to knock out some work on my character, but I'm sure you all know how vacations with family can be. |

hey, I just registered and saw this.
I have a pilot kind of guy for a game that died, set during the time of the "Rebels" show that looks like it would fit the bill, unless somebody already has their eyes the place. It was a Human before, I was thinking I'd re-work it a bit as a Duro. ...that is, if you haven't begun yet. |
