O.K. I see what you're saying, now. It adds +4D, but don't forget the multiple action penalty. Got it.
I checked the revised and expanded edition (I have all three rule books) - the rule for concentration has not changed. _________________ Know Jesus, Know Peace.

It was my group that calls concentration the "poor man's bonus" and believe me, it works.
Over the years I've played many NPCs and only a few characters of my own. my favorite Gamemaster Characters are the kind that can affect/influence my players without even a single die roll. Crell, Ragnar, you know what I'm talking about. As a PC thought, it would have to be an independent. someone who operates alone or in a really tight crew. Bounty hunters and especially rebel specforce or rebel operatives. |

If you read the last page and a half of this topic you couldn't even tell its about the kind of charectors you like to play. Anyway, I like to playeither cambat based charetors, or support (ei. slicer) that hang around with the bad boys but are pretty much helpless if caught alone. Here is an exert from one of the games I played with a Verpin. Me and a few others were boarding a freighter.
Caleb-(Barabel Pirate) Ok now Quinn your on the stretcher, we're gonna act like your hurt and as soon as they let us in we start blasting."
Me(Verpin Slicer)-"OK"
Guinn(Human pirate)-"OK"
Caleb-"Hailing YT-2400, we are in need of medical assistance, may me board and use your med-bay."
Unknown Female-"Why don't you use yours"
Caleb-"It was destroyed in the fire"
Female"OK we are activating the umbilacle"
GM-"They let you in"
***
GM-"Ok theres a trandoshan, a human, and a rodian, there armed."
Quinn-"s***"
***
Caleb-" OK I want to shoot the girl"
GM-"She falls on the floor"
Caleb-"Is she dead"
GM-"No"
Quinn-"Geat"
***
GM-"Ok the Trandoshan slams you into a closet, and locks the door"
Me-"s***, can I slice it"
GM-"No you can't reach the controls, oh by the way your shatterguns broken"
***
Caleb-"Ok I want to stab her"
GM-"Ok when you lean over, she shoots you"
Caleb-"What the mother, how bad"
GM-"Bad enough, your incapacitated"
Quinn-"I want to shoot her."
GM-" It hits her blast vest, she staggers and keeps walking toward you."
***
Trandoshan-"I'll give yu to the count of three, to run out of there and shoot me"
GM-"He unlocks the door"
Trandoshan-"3...2..."
Me-"I want to run"
Trandoshan-"1"
GM-"Yur flamed, half of your flesh has burnt off your unconscience"
Me-"Grrrrrr......."
***
Quinn-" Gas grenade"
GM-" Ok everyones asleep, Daniel (me) you wake up first...... _________________ "At the end of the game the king and the pawn go back in the same box" |

i didn't know YT-2400's were big enough to have an actual "medical bay."

Perhaps the cargo bay was converted into one. _________________ "I don't know about angels, but it's fear that gives men wings." -Max Payne

i suppose, but that would cramp up the already small cargo space on the ship. |

I created a custom YT-1300 called the Centauri-Nebula that had the cargo bay converted into a medical bay. Very minimal cargo space, but the medical facilities come in handy after a battle. _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Save you it can." --Yoda

this is true, but a YT-1300 would be better suited for a med bay especially since you can mod the ship to have the cool looking cargo extensions that "i think" double your cargo capacity. |

Yup, the strap-on cargo pods give you an extra 100 metric tons of cargo capacity.
