I agree. We'd be hard pressed to find a name that is more fitting. The only thing I would consider changing with the name is adding "RPG" or "Roleplaying Game" so more gamers would be likely to stumble across it while surfing the web.

D6 Rebellion!
It sums up what we're about, and it can be found in a search for D6 or Rebellion. Excellent!
I assume a pod cast can somehow lead interested players back to the Rancor Pit? (Assuming the owner of the Rancor Pit won't sue you for doing so...) _________________ Know Jesus, Know Peace.

sounds like a great idea. Hopefully this could build a community of new players to the game. As far as segments go. Here's a couple of ideas.
Going over rules are important, especially for getting new people interested in playing.
Talking about how to roleplay or Gm, and the different strategies anyone can use to spice up their games.
Listing Gaming aids that can supplement the game and make it more exciting. i.e props, music, video trailers. and what programs are available to make these easier to use.
Maybe highlighting different fan projects and how the game has evolved from when WEG was still printing.
Talking about house rules and the all important rule of if you don't know make it up. Which I think really sets D6 apart from other RPGs
Doing a segment on where source books can still be found on the internet and which ones are worth getting and which are pick them up when their cheap. |

Great ideas! But one question, didn't we always go by the rule of thumb, if you didn't know a rule make it up? I've been doing that since forever with all my old school games. _________________ Star Wars "Fall of the Order" Actual Play Podcast - https://rollhighordie.com/category/swfallorder/

that might be true. D6 Rpg was my first rpg experience. I was contrasting it with d20 which had u look up everything. I thought rule of thumb or fudging it was such brilliant concept when i read it. helps keep the pace of the game cinematic and exciting instead of waiting for the GM to look through a book full of tables. |

I was thinking another idea would be to to try and track down some WEG staff to talk about the good old days when D6 was king.
Finding out about the thought process and the wild and wooly days when WEG was the only thing establishing the Expanded Universe when everyone else thought Star wars was dead.
I know Rodney Thompson and Sterling Hershey have both been big supporters of the Saga based podcast Order 66. But I'm pretty sure that they both worked on d6 and have expressed their love of the game.
Bill smith and I think Peter Schweighofer have both done interviews about their WEG days so they might be willing to do a podcast as well.
It would be a great show to get one of these guys and also might be a way to get some cross promotion from other sites. |

Funny thing is... Most of the old WEG guys are very... Reluctant to talk. I think a lot of them got treated badly or something. I've approached a few and got a flat out get lost.
I do know Sterling might join us. But I not think Rodney worked on D6, did he? Even if he did, he's Very hard to get ahold of. _________________ Star Wars "Fall of the Order" Actual Play Podcast - https://rollhighordie.com/category/swfallorder/

While Rodney Thompson is a good guy and I've worked with him on the SWRPGNetwork for a number of years, I know that he never worked on any D6 Star Wars published material. He did make D6 stats, like so many other people, on the website, but he never was employed by West End Games and never published D6 material.
Sterling Hershey
Peter Schwieghofer
those were a couple of guys who worked on WEG D6 Star Wars and are still fairly easily found online. |

Yes, he is running a D6 campaign currently. He has mentioned before that he still likes D6, he was just working for WotC to be in the industry and for the paycheck. You will notice that he had a pretty big part in Saga edition and it is closer to D6 than any previous iteration of D20.
So you might be able to get him to talk about D6 gaming, and he could certainly talk about Star Wars, and while he's made a lot of fan material for D6 Star Wars, he's not an official Star Wars D6 contributor. A fan, yes...as well as a notable person. |
