First character I ever played for Star Wars...we were being chased by a rather persistant Bounty Hunter, and he had cornered us in a room with no way out. I used TK (spending a FP) to disarm him of his last remaining weapon, and the other two players with me proceeded (without me knowing what they intended to do) mow him down with laser fire.
GM decided that I had an obligation to attempt to stop them, and my calling upon the Force to disarm him, had made it murder of an unarmed foe (and I agreed with him, so I didn't fight it). When I attempted to chastise the two party members, one of them fired upon me, and I ended up earning a second point in dealing with the situation...I still have that character, but I need to be REALLY careful, as he's sitting at 5 DSP without having turned...time to start atoning I guess! |

The really uncool thing about Tiny having just gone a little dark is that my character, a Force-sensitive Brash Pilot, had been discovered by the two Jedi in the party to be strong in the Force and had been trying to persuade them to begin training him in the ways of the Force. Then Tiny has his big fit (an event that Zinn, my character, was not only able to sense but was also affected by) and now the Jedi seem even less inclined to start training Zinn. Hopefully they see soon that he's a righteous dude. Just ask Ferris Bueller... |

Don't i know it. Had one of the few times i played a jedi, use TK to disarm (by holding the enemy aloft so he could not dodge), so 2 allies could tie him up / bind him, when one decided to stick a vibro rapier in his spleen/up into his spine... _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Ummm, didn't Zinn pretty much tell folks he's Force-sensitive early on?

I was sent here because Jedi are supposedly gonna get put in this unit, and they're supposed to start training me. Skywalker put up a fairly good fight to have me go right to his academy, but I vetoed that. I'm already a good pilot; I need to be using that skill set as much as possible while I learn to do other things, like learning how to use the Force." |

Yes perhaps discovered was too strong a word. Were announced to was probably more appropriate.
On the plus side Tiny is almost certainly going to need to at least take some lessons in anger management or Light Side philosophy from the Jedi if he is to avoid falling to the Dark Side, perhaps Zinn can tag along and change the Jedi's minds if he excels. _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

Anger managment, definantly anger managment . And several courses in light side philosophy. Course that might go for several of us. But background wise, Tiny is probably the most susceptible of the non-Jedi on the team. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Have any of your characters ever turned to the dark side? I have had one other Jedi beside the one I'm playing now, but have never actually turned with any character, jedi or not. I always die before I get the chance _________________ Random is who random does... |

Not yet but I've got 4 DSPs and counting so it might not be far off. _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

If we're lucky it only exists when Tiny calls on the Dark Side.
If we're unlucky it can reshape itself at will forming any number of weapons, exists permanently and has a will of it's own.
I guess we wait and see. _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

It's evil, evil I say.
Seriously, Esoomian's character did recently aquire what appears to be a manifestation of the dark side which killed a former PC turned NPC his character was supposed to be protecting. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

I'm pretty sure it is actually pure evil. As far as I can tell it's comprised entirely of Dark Side energy and the life force stolen from a former PC.
If that isn't pure evil I don't know what is.
And yet still haven't actually turned to the Dark Side. However if cybernetics give you cyber points I wonder what you get with Force manifestations? _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

I never play force users, but my brother got an interesting one. He was a young jedi who had picked up (A) Medicine. He would always heal anyone he could, friend or foe, after a fight. I was a mercenary who liked to get in close and use a vibrosword or blunt trauma to get my points across. Once I gutted an imperial officer while trying to accomplish one thing or another. He didn't die immediately so my brother tried to stabilize him. The GM made it clear there isn't much you can do for a man who effectively ends at the bottom of the ribcage, but my brother insisted on trying. The thing was that he was out of FP and clearly would need more dice to succeed. So he called on the dark side. Summoning all his wrath and anger, he performed careful surgery on his fallen foe. He rolled a 26 and the officer died. _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier
