That sounds like a blast, i should do that at some point too _________________ The Vong have Arrived

I love wreck dives, but if you are going to do some serious wreck diving I would suggest after doing PAID Advanced Open Water you do at least the following three specialities:
PADI Wreck Diver - Teaches you more about wrecks and also basic wreck penetration.
PADI Deep Diver - Teaches you more about deep diving and extends your dive limit to 40m deep.
PADI Enriched Air Diver - Teaches you about using Oxygen mixtures of 22 - 40 % which extends your No Decompression Limits while diving, this does not allow you to dive deeper, but ratehr dive for longer before suffering from effects due to Nitrogen absorbtion.
I did all these course as a student diver and later as an instructor as well and I can defnitely recommend them. Also if you go to a dive shop and you book 5 courses at same time and maybe buy basic gear you MUST ask for discounts.
I always suggest first buying soft gear - wet suit, boots, fins, gloves(leather palms), mask, hood, snorkel. This makes your rental cheaper as you just need to rent BCD, REGS, WEIGHTS and TANKS with AIR.
For wreck penetration you will also need a reel with 50m rope, a main dive light(torch) and a back up light. _________________ ***witty remark under construction - coming soon to a board near you*** |

I second that, vong!
Of course, I think you'd be morally obligated to run the Battle for Golden Sun module in honor of your lessons... |

If only I had a T-47 instead of having to rely on commercial (expensive) airlines... _________________ Arek | Kage |
