Yes. It's all tongue-in-cheek. |
No offense, but I find it something to be desired. |
As I said, the new Zorro book would be just fine for Dukes of Hazzard, except that you would need car chase rules. _________________ "I've Seen Your Daily Routine. You Are Not Busy!"

Are you referring to Cobb Vanth, the guy on Tatooine who Boba Fett couldn't get his armor back from for years?
"Coy" and "Vance" are references to The Dukes of Hazzard 5th season replacement characters for the two main actors who were in contract disputes at the time. Despite being straight up rip-offs of the cousins they replaced, they proved to be very unpopular among die hard fans of the show. When the main stars returned to the show, they wrote the replacements out of the story and then after that pretended that they had never existed.
Coy and Vance wore the same clothes as Bo and Luke. I wonder if the SW character was named after Coy and Vance, since he was a Boba Fett pretender of sorts. _________________ *

That's some interesting info on the possible origins of the name of Cobb Vanth.
I've never seen an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

It's a classic. It ran for 7 seasons from 1979-85, CBS on Friday nights. Some seasons it was on after The Incredible Hulk. It was a very popular show about an ex-moonshine bootlegging family in Georgia that always gets tangled up in the criminal plots of the corrupt county commissioner and sheriff. Car chases and stunts are a staple of the show. Every episode was narrated by Waylon Jennings. My brother and I loved it when we were kids. Here's a link to the intro sequence.

I remember watching both The Dukes of Hazzard and The Incredible Hulk on TV waaaay back when I was a kid. Hell, I even remember the short-lived The Dukes of Hazzard spinoff Enos. Man, those were simpler days. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies

If you're looking for Galactic Rednecks, look no further than Agamar. The stereotype of dumb, backwater hicks was played up to great effect in the Wraith Squadron books. Then use the Blockade Runner's Guide to make yourself a hotrod lumrunner starship. Painted bright orange, of course. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Speaking of Star Wars and Moonshine, has anyone else had their ship's engineer run a still through the ship's hyperdrive? _________________ RR

Ha! I did run a player with an engineer PC who built a still into the ship's artificial gravity generator and its power system. The shine had the power to suddenly increase the gravity under the character drinking it.

April Fool's or not, this is an idea that is not entirely without merit. I'm just trying to imagine Rey, Finn, and Poe talking with Southern drawls. Goodness knows, it might have improved the DT (a tiny amount). _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies

Seeing how deserty tattooine and other places are, and all the swoop races, cop chases we saw in solo, they've already had a kind of dukes of hazard theme... _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
