Unless you're suggesting that Jawas can somehow telekinetically sabotage ships while they're lightyears away in hyperspace, then that probably deserves a different topic.

In light of the various possibilities in this topic, it occurs to me that multiple Hyperdrive Mishap charts would be very useful. At the moment, I’m picturing the following:
    1) Astrogation Mishap Chart - All results would be some variation on the astrogator miscalculating some issue, so the ship goes off course somehow.

    2) Hyperspace Mishap Chart - A compilation of the various “hyperspace weather / conditions” results that have been mentioned here. This list would be reserved for things like an Astrogation roll that succeeded, but rolled a Wild Fail and got a complication. The GM would roll on the chart to determine what sort of random condition occurs, affecting the jump.

    3) Malfunction Chart - Technical issues with the hyperdrive itself, whether from damage or poor maintenance. If possible, I’d like to fold these results into the Updated Starship Damage Chart, so that there’s a lot more nuance in the results for a damaged (yet still functioning) hyperdrive.

Anyway, I’m exhausted and am about to go to sleep, but I wanted to get this in writing before bed. Discuss.
