What do you mean? Say you target an unarmed ship, fire your weapons and destroy it for no reason other than to watch it burn, yeah that's evil. Even if it were a droid ship, you didn't know that. Someone is probably going to rely on that ship for food, supplies, etc.

It's all about intentions and actions.

Ask your self "is there another way to get the same result?" If the answer is yes you may be comitting an evil act.

No I mean more like shooting at a retreating pirate not blowing up a ship just to watch it burn.

By blowing up that pirate... You're ensuring that he doesn't continue to rape, pillage, burn, blast, destory, hurt, main, ect. And all the other things that pirates do...

Now... If you had a set of Ion Cannons, and could drag him back kicking and screaming to an honest courtroom... Then if you blow him up out of hand, it is evil...

But... It's all a matter of perception.

I would generally incapacitate enemy ships rather that destroy them

It's so much harder to sell a destroyed ship

In all the gming i have done, i have seen a total of 19 characters turn to the dark side (3 of them mine!!!). Out of around 300 or so, that is not that many.
