That last sentence didn't age well. Ma klounkee! The 4K versions reportedly represent the final revisions of Lucas. My understanding is that he was mid-project when the Disney sale went through and just handed over what he had, so Disney had to finish the 4K versions. Of course Lucas just had to get one final Greedo revision in. It was a weird obsession for him. |
There should be no further revisions, and Disney has used the 4K versions to launch Disney+, so the next CT releases after the 4K releases for purchase on March 31st should be new original versions with no Lucas-revised content because there is nothing "new" left to sell. They'd be stupid not to. It may even be available by this coming Christmas, but probably next year at the latest. _________________ *
